The cottage is absolutely beautiful with a big double bedroom and large living space. The bathroom was also spacious, modern and really clean and the breakfast in the morning was delicious.

Everything! Beautiful property in a fabulous location. It was clean, airy, spacious with lovely decor & quality toiletries & tea/coffee facilities. Samantha couldn’t have been more helpful & accomodating - she truly went out of her way to ensure our 24hr child-free getaway was as comfortable & enjoyable as possible. The full English breakfast was superb. Top quality ingredients cooked to perfection. We can’t wait to return & will definitely be recommending Ivy Cottage to friends.

Lovely quiet place not far from A1. Very high spec feel to everything. Plenty of space to relax. Samantha was great and answered my questions quickly and helpfully, both in advance and whilst we were there. The breakfast was delicious and filling.

It would be helpful to have a card payment option instead/as well as BACS as card payments have protection from your bank. On this occasion it was no problem.

The Goat House is set in a lovely village and is comfortable, beautifully appointed and very peaceful. Our days began with a delicious, cooked breakfast brought to us promptly by our host Samantha, and after our busy days out in icy temperatures we could look forward to returning to our warm and welcoming rooms.

I struggle to think of any negatives. Honestly, I'm a very picky person but it was perfect. The only thing that would make it better is if the windows weren't overlooked by the house, but short of rebuilding it I don't see how that could be achieved!

Everything! It was described as a "double room" but it's actually more like a little apartment with a living room, bathroom and bedroom. The windows overlook a lovely little rose garden. The bathroom has a glorious deep bath and lovely complementary toiletries. Breakfast was beautiful and was served with fresh squeezed orange juice, at a little table and chair in our living room (very private/romantic). Really comfy bed with feather pillows. The host was really nice. It was nicest b and b I've ever stayed in!

Would have liked to eat at popular pub across the road, but like many it’s not open at the front end of the week at the moment - cottage only has kettle/cups for hot drinks so that meant a short drive to nearby town for dinner (but we knew all that when we booked).

Cosy converted barn in the middle of an historic village, with high-end decor and fittings.

We absolutely loved our stay here - it is exactly what you imagine staying in a beautiful English countryside is like. The host was very lovely and has clearly put a lot of effort into the accommodation and the service. The only regret is that we couldn't stay longer, but definitely hoping to come back!

Fantastic property for a short stop over or a longer stay. Our host Samantha was welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast served in the accommodation was a full English, juice, toast and coffee and tea. Could not have asked for more. Short distance from the A1 and a great stop over to break a long journey.

Nothing everything qas perfect.... a little fridge would have been nice to keep our drinks cool but its only a minor point as we had taken a coolbag anyway

Used Ivy Cottage as a convenient base for exploring Southwell Minster and Workhouse. Warm welcome from Samantha on arrival. Superlative breakfast served at a time to suit us, with much appreciated details such as freshly squeezed juice and a table set outside, given the stunning weather. Very convenient to have the Dovecote Inn opposite.

Nothing to do with property but the pub is only open from Wednesday so if you are staying all week, it’s a bit annoying to get an evening meal.

Lovely cozy annex cottage in a pretty village with great pub opposite. beautiful decor and very friendly and accommodating host. Definitely recommend. Pub food is great.

We had a very comfortable short stay at Ivy Cottage. Samantha was a very friendly host. The cottage is located in a wonderfully peaceful and historic village. The accomodation was clean, roomy and beautifully decorated. Our breakfast was delicious.
