Very helpful attentive host who provided us with breakfast night before as we had to leave early in the morning. Stunning, atmospheric room (four poster). Superb position right in centre of Burford. I was also able to park right outside the pub.

The only thing that got a bit disappointed was the breakfast included was not hot, that was paying extra. We were looking forward to a hot English breakfast and there was only continental. Continental was lovely and enough but in my head I was looking forward an English Breakfast.

Our room (Filkins) was noisy at times from the fans and the music in the kitchen which is directly below . Also, please note that breakfast is included and whilst it is plentiful and includes fruit , cereals and toast , any cooked breakfasts are at additional cost . we were fine with this but think this should be explained more clearly when booking as other guests were quite disappointed .

The rooms are clean but the decoration is tired, cushions carpet woodwork are not in great condition, it is acceptable but thats it. The local men dominate the bar on stools making it difficult to get served.

The property is a period property in the picturesque town of Burford.

Very good location, very characterful room. Rebecca was amazing in sorting out the lack of hot water in the shower issue, on a Saturday night! Big props 👍 Would surely visit the Highway Inn again.

Nothing really. The Twin room where we stayed was a bit of a challenge up stairs but once we got there it was well worth it.

The Highway Inn is friendly, comfortable, very welcoming and exactly how you would expect an Inn should be. Log fire, good food and wine and a great team.

"Breakfast included" was only a light breakfast of fruit and pastries. Anything cooked was extra. "Breakfast included" should be breakfast included; didn't state "light breakfast included" on the booking.

Beautiful location. Lovely building with open fire in the bar area. Great food and drink. Staff were warm and welcoming and very attentive throughout the stay. Good sized room. Parking right outside the front door.

Communication about certain details could have been clearer, all interaction from staff was friendly.

The check in was very good, friendly and helpful. I was not around during the day as I stayed for work but the evening food was particularly good as was the service. I have not had better food in Burford and I have eaten at six other venues in Burford during my contract nearby.
