We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomBathroom was a bit like fawlty towers, in a funny way- to get bot water for a bath we had to call reception who advised us to run sink taps and flush toilet. This brought piping hot water but then no cold water! Had to sit and wait for an hour for it to cool down to get in

A quintessential English seaside hotel. Still quite quirky, bedroom could do with a bit of an upgrade but was certainly comfortable . Plenty of hot water and great views from the balcony outside our room. We were particularly impressed with the evening meal which with the half board rate was very reasonably priced. All the staff were particularly helpful and efficient.

United KingdomIt was all very dated. The rooms old fashioned, carpets old and need updating. Old bath and stained toilet. Very old fashioned furniture and beds. No cold water it ran warm. There was hairs in the bath on arrival. It really needs bringing into the 20th century.
Breakfast was delicious😋. All hot and good selection.

United KingdomThings were very tired. The first room we were given was a blast from the 80’s and was ok but the shower didn’t work at all. We were moved to a room in the basement which had been ‘modernised’ but not in a tasteful way. There was a very dark, hard floor and poor quality curtains that were see through and resulted in our room being shrouded in rainbow lights from the outside uplighters.
Staff were great. Food was good. The hotel was in a brilliant location over looking the sea. The function we attended was very well organised and the room had a fabulous outlook. We had a working shower and the towels and bedsheets were clean. Thankfully we didn’t pay a great deal to stay.

United KingdomThe decor is generally tired and old fashioned. Room was cramped and there was visible dust on ledges around the room. Carpet stained and the single room generally cramped and not well ordered. The sea view was only visible if standing at the window or in the reflection in the wall mirror. On arrival the Reception staff were efficient once they had finished their conversation. Despite being observed by the person whom I took to be the duty manager there was no attempt to acknowledge my arrival for some time. On checkout, despite paying for room, breakfasts and one evening meal in advance at checkin, there was some issue on the computer about what I had paid, which wasn’t explained, but blamed on Booking.com. I not too politely suggested the problem was more likely to be with the hotel reception. There are other hotels in Torquay available to try!
Location and views were excellent. Breakfast was good and waiting staff friendly and efficient.

United KingdomUnfortunately the hotel is in great need of some modernisation and refurbishment, as well as a really deep clean. The dining room tables were adorned with very tired covers that were heavily stained around the bottom. A lot of the windows were misted up from broken seals, and not very clean inside and out, which detracted from the beautiful sea view.
Location was lovely, bedroom was perfectly adequate, but the headboard was a little tatty. Staff were helpful and pleasant, but bar staff were clearly under pressure at times. Food was absolutely fine, if a little on the expensive side. Overall, our stay was pleasant.

United KingdomStaff “forgot” to mention that there is a charge for dogs on check in however claimed that we need to pay it and the check out. Needs a refurb
Hotel is in nice location and have friendly staff with professional manners. Place itself is outdated and ready for full renovation. Food is tasty and good selection of drinks available from the bar. We’ve stayed there mainly as dogs are allowed. Noise from outside can be heard as single glazed windows.
