Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

It seems a bit unfair to blame the hotel however our room was situated below what must have been a larger room above (didn't notice this from the outside). It was pretty noisy with children running around at different times making a racket like a herd of elephants. Certainly there was no chance of laying in! Also, we were there only the one night but it seemed that quite a few of the beers were not on as a delivery was expected - a shame but I did get to try a local ale.
The location was perfect for us as we were heading off to Mallory Park the next morning. The hotel itself was fine with amiable staff and we enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast. Our room was functional with a working shower and was clean.

The bathroom left a little to be desired - the extractor fan above the shower was not working, the shower head was lacking in water pressure, and the fittings of the shower were leaking water while the shower was on. All easy fixes for a big bump in comfort.
Room was spacious, warm, and had everything you need within easy reach. Staff were kind and always happy to help. Food was very good, and the small bar had a nice atmosphere. The green space outside catches the evening sun perfectly. Ample parking outside.

The room needed a little tlc, there was plaster missing from the wall adjoining the bathroom. The door knob on the wardrobe was loose and the wardrobe was hard to open. The mattress was adequate, but felt like it had been there for some time. The Wi-fi was poor.
The staff were very helpful, and the the evening meal was well presented, nicely prepared and enjoyable. It weas good to see the bar had real on as well. The room was a good size, and had a nice view from the window over open fields.

The room was a little cold despite both radiators being on and very warm to the touch, suspect the room has a damp issue. The bed was quite old and could feel the springs through the surface. No shaving point in the bathroom
Great location and peaceful. The entire property was well laid out with great facilities, car park, restaurant, etc.

No way to lock the door from inside. It had the yale lock with the catch but no way to lock the catch to prevent someone with another key opening the door

Shower a little "underpowered" but worked perfectly fine. Matress a bit worn out but comfortable on the firmer side of the double bed.

It is an aged building and rooms also show a reasonable wear.
Quiet location close to fields with footpaths. The deluxe room was spacious and comfortable for a three night stay. Kettle, iron, hairdryer all in the room even if a little aged. Staff was friendly and professional. I didn’t use breakfast but it looked good.

Noise from the room above woke us at 6 30am as the occupant had an early start.
We had a comfortable stay and the staff were excellent. Finding a problem with the room we were easily moved to another.

The room was a little cold, but after asking, the staff provided a heater which solved this problem. The tv could've been a bit better, being only 19inch and with no programming guide. When a 32 inch tv costs as little as £150 a 19 inch is a little insulting.
The location was quiet and peaceful. The room had a nice country feel to it. The staff were polite and helpful.
