Then location was walkable from the city centre with my 5 and 7 year old. The staff were very friendly and the room was exceptionally clean. It was extremely quiet and we all had a very good night's sleep.

Very good bathroom facilities, room was clean and comfortable. On foot to the High street is about 20 minutes. Parking is available for free.

Need to be aware of the steep steps up to the property from the pavement. I wouldn’t even have thought of it had I not injured my knee, but that finished it off!

Unfortunately I had injured my knee, so I was kindly offered an upgrade so I could have a room on the ground floor.

Beds were not very comfortable. Facilities adequate but basic. A few other little touches would have improved the stay.

Very friendly, helpful and kind staff member who welcomed us, and was very helpful, and allowed us to check in early and leave our bags after check out. Great location 15mins walk from centre and local shop, and on main route for buses

Very pleasant hotel with helpful staff. The location is good - just a 15 - 20 minute walk to the centre and parking is easy if you arrive early. The room was comfortable without being lavish.

The fact that they no longer serve the traditional English breakfast

No issue with sports view but 3rd party listing made it sound like parking was automatic. Spots for free were limited but we were able to use free parking all 3 days and if we needed there is public parking literally next door

Room was very clean and everything good. Staff very responsive. Had a situation after returning home where we could not find a document we needed. I emailed them twice the day after I stay and response to both less then an hour. We did find it but I appreciated the quick response time. Overall would stay here again.

The building is old so a lift cannot be installed. It is not suitable for people with mobility issues. Even a ground floor room has to be accessed by a flight of outside stone steps from the pavement to the entrance door.

The room was very clean and had all the basic things such as a working TV and refreshments tray. It was checked every day. The guest house is close to town, near a bus stop and a small grocery store.

Hosts were very good at amending our booking at short notice. Unfortunately one of my friends were unable to travel at short notice for personal reasons and they helped us out when they weren't contractually obliged to.

The room was clean, well laid out with space for everything. The shower was fantastic, really powerful. Everything in the room was exactly as you would expect and there was a good choice of lighting. They provided three mugs for three people and lots of tea and coffee, no portion control, which was good.

Nothing explicitly. Limited interaction with the staff but that was nice as with our own key, it felt more like a private flat than a 'hotel'. (This is more of a compliment than a criticism).

Incredible location, just a short stroll into the centre. Easy enough to check in, with clear communication to the owner prior arrival. The room while small achieved all our needs for the duration (weekend). We would happily recommend this place to anyone considering it.

Noisy people in next room but this wasn’t fault of guest house

We had a good sized, recently refurbished room with modern bathroom. Excellent location on straight road into town. Coffee pod machine and fridge in room. There was a power cut and we were offered a refund of half the daily rate without asking.

It was clean and had all that you could need. Beds not super luxurious but we weren't expecting that to be the case. They were totally adequate and no complaints at all, slept well. Loved that you could open the windows as this is not always the case for hotels but such an important thing to be able to do. The bathroom was sparkling clean as was towels and beds. Wardrobe had lots of space and hangers. Lots of tea and coffee supplied. And only a 12/13 minute walk into town. AND parking which is excellent. Thank you for a good stay!

The property is on the main road, with continuous traffic, which could be heard the whole time. Although the noise was not so intrusive that it made TV watching unenjoyable, or stopped us from sleeping after a couple glasses of wine. As it was winter we kept the windows closed all the time. I asked about rooms at the back, but was told they were fully booked.

The radiator in my room at the top of the house did not appear to work but the rest of the building was warm and the heat rose to my room. It would however have been good to feel the direct heat of the radiator.

The guest house is in a good location, about 15 minutes walk from the city centre on a frequent bus route. It is quiet, well insulated from traffic noise. The rooms are comfortable and welcoming. They are as shown on the website.

There’s no hot water in hand basin. The building looks run down and there was some renovations going on and it was rather dusty.

Beds and linen and pillows are all very good and comfortable. The room is clean and shower works well. Kettle and coffee are provided and the layout of beds is good. The room was warm even though it was winter and we didn’t turn on the heating and we all slept well.

We only selected "room" and so opted out of the "breakfast" (though it looked amazing!) The room was ready, comfortable, and discreetly maintained throughout our stay.
