Room and whole hotel was a bite tired looking, needs a facelift

There was no breakfast at all. I was disappointed as I thought it was bed and breakfast. bathroom was really small. old, and shabby. The whole room needs update.

Close to the seaside, TV in the room, hot drinks coffee available.

We didn’t like the rigorous check in process which involved the staff having to see all 8 of our ID’s. This easily took about 30 minutes and was a massive waste of time especially as the rooms were ready. The lift was broken so some of us had to go up 3 flights of stairs to get to our rooms which was a lot with luggage.

Loved the ocean view and how easily accessible the hotel was. The rooms were spacious and ours in particular looked like it had been updated quite recently with fresh paint.

Too hot due to winter duvets. Staff were noisy all night. Tea making facilities were poor.

Hotel really tired and room was small and shabby. The toilet had running water all night which kept me awake and the bathroom was tiny. Restaurant closed yet all the surrounding ones nearby open so no evening meal or breakfast available.

No one at reception on arrival.No breakfast. No working lift. No bedside light. Malfunctioning bathroom tap; water ran all night.

Once he was there, Rob the receptionist couldn’t have been more pleasant. I’m Comfortable bed and exceptional linen.

Lift out of order, restaurant closed Our room was located on the second floor which required us to walk up a flight of starts open fire door , turn left open another fire door , up a second flight to the third fire door , turn left through another fire door and the along a passageway. I dread to think what route those on the 3rd floor had to navigate, The stair and hallway carpets dated, doors / woodwork required painting. Final the lead on the kettle was too short resulting in the need to go on hands and knees and plug in under the table.. The reception not always staffed as most of them were multi tasking.

Entrance to the hotel and reception area plus location was good. The bed was combatable and we had a tea & coffee tray in the room

Nice downstairs as soon as you went up the stairs it was grotty worn out carpets Same in bedroom dirty marked carpets - furniture dated but I can live with that- bed wasn’t comfortable at all Sea view was ok not brilliant opening of window was ok till you saw all the pidgeon poop not very appealing Would not take long to clean if done daily Woke up in night when the upstairs were using their toilet heard it all and when the chain was pulled it came down one of our inside walls to be heard

It was a hot evening when I arrived, there was a very young man trying to deal with an angry customer at the checkin desk and I ended up trying to help as all requests to the manager for assistance from the young receptionist were refused. the window in the smallest room I’d ever stayed in was stuck shut which then made sense of the small desktop fan by the bed. All this did was circulate the hot air in the room. A door stop had obviously been removed from the carpeted floor (grotty carpet) but the 2 screws that held the doorstop hadn’t, and I trod on them. The lift was out of service allegedly due to Covid but the hotel was in such a poor condition I don’t believe the reason was one of Covid. I had to climb three narrow flights of stairs with 3 bags, the directions to the room signs were very poor and I’d be concerned if a fire broke out that there were so many exit doors in narrow corridors and stairs it’d be quite confusing to get out quickly and safely. I’d never stay here again.

That the lifts were not working and we our room was on the third floor, the staff did not change our towels during the week and the sheets were a bit dirty.

There had been no kitchen for a year although I had been told I could order breakfast when I arrived. There was no parking although the web sight had feed backi from previous customer saying there was. The lift was broken. There was scaffolding across the front of the hotel obscuring the sea view.

On the front with sea view. The staff were very helpful and carried our cases up and down from our room as the lift was broken. The staff were very pleasant.

The sound of doors slamming throughout the night got very tedious, and the constant loud noises coming from other people staying also disturbed my sleep. The bedrooms are very very small and the water pressure in the shower is useless to say the least.

The hotel from the outside looks nice and the staff were very friendly. The bed was also very comfy.
