Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere was nothing to dislike. Maybe the patio area immediately outside the room could have been smartened up a little, but that was only a minor observation.
Lovely, comfortable room, with a fridge and a great choice of teas and coffees . Very dog friendly.

Beautiful secluded spot, ideal for travelling to new quay and cardigan (the areas we visited) and many others I’m sure. Everything was clean and comfortable. We had lovely breakfasts cooked to order by Barbara. Our dog had a paddock to run around in and he had a great stay too!

United KingdomLeaving? One minor point, and it really really is very minor, is we didn't see plug sockets on the side of the room by the day bed- but that could have just been us not looking properly.
1) easy to find 2) beautiful location 3) friendly welcome 4) very comfortable room 5) great tea/ coffee and light snack selection 6) good shower and WC facilities with soaps 7) large choice for breakfast which we were able to be ordered for earlier by request. 8) Barbara is very lovely

United KingdomWatch out for Sat Nav - it tries to take you off onto a driveway further up the road and the owner of that house was a bit prickly about people thinking their accommodation was The Swallows. Ignore Satnav and keep driving until you see the sign on the side of the road for The Swallows!
Very comfortable accommodation. Fabulous cooked breakfast plus other breakfast options available in the room. Lovely ensuite wet room and very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again next time we are up that way. Great value for money too.

From the moment we arrived we felt a sense of total relaxation. We love country life and especially for our dogs(Jrt) Barbara is the perfect host whilst being a farmer also. We were lucky to witness a beautiful sheep giving birth in the field and Barbara was fascinating to watch how experienced she is🥰 . The views from our Room No 1 was simply beautiful. We had a veranda and as smokers we really appreciated. The room is so cozy with a quality mattress, the bedding and pillows are of high quality and we slept so soundly. The shower(wet room) is superb and a fantastic shower and beautiful thick quality towels. Barbara's breakfast is absolutely stunning 😋 you can basically have whatever you want and she brings to your room on a tray with local produce( sausages was yum) and fresh grapefruit juice or Orange. You have a huge selection of teas and coffees in your room,a kettle, a fridge microwave, hair dryer, a fan... Barbara has thought of everything to be honest. Lovely pubs surrounding you around 7 mins away in the car. And New Quay beach is 9 minutes away which is stunning by the way. We will be back that's for sure and will miss this beautiful place to be honest 😪 . Best wishes Annie and Darren

United KingdomJust wish the weather could have been better as the surrounding area was great for walks. In dryer weather there are also certain paddocks / fields that can be used to walk dogs.
Breakfast was superb - cooked to order, brought to the room and was hot and delicious. Can highly recommend the avocado and poacked eggs! Room was lovely and well apointed - day bed which doubled as a soffa, two tub chairs in the entrance porch as well as the breakfast table and chairs. Mini fridge with jams, spread, milk and OJ. There was bread in the gread bin, selction of teas and coffee. Kettle, toaster and microwave, plus all the plates, glasses, mugs and culterly and two jugs of water. Bed was comfy and decent size. Small wardrobe / dressing area for hanging clothes etc. Bathroom was a wet room with a lovely shower - very spacious - and there were shower gels etc Working farm so there were sheep, but plenty of room to walk the dogs along the lane and the owners had put shell down to keep mud to a minium given the weather. Barbera is a great host with a warm and friendly welcome and will look aftrt you 100%.
