The bed was very creaky and the hand sink taps were loose.

Friendly staff, nicely decorated (although small) room, great freshly cooked breakfast.

I have informed the time of the arrival for the breakfast. However, the access door form stairs to the kitchen was locked inside (the two keys provided did not open the door), knocked on the door and no body was there. So I had to leave without breakfast (had to go buy from outside ) although paid for breakfast. As it is on the top of the pub, the music could be heard until the close of the pub

Staff very helpful, surrounding was nice

The online menu is out of date. Based on that, we booked to eat somewhere else, but then heard by chance, that Wednesday night is Curry Night, so we cancelled our booking and enjoyed a curry at the Vernon. Poor online marketing, would do a lot better if the online offerings were up to date.

The food was very disappointing but perhaps it was our menu choice. The menu for evening meal was limited. We ordered the margherita pizza. Unfortunately it was undercooked, the tomatoes were tasteless and there was far too much cheese on top that was undercooked, there was no basil, which was disappointing as there are only 3 ingredients in a margherita pizza. We left it. Breakfast was a bit DIY, not sure what was on offer, perhaps a little menu would be good. Milk and fruit juice you helped yourself to in a fridge ( fridge not very clean). We were offered cooked breakfast but declined. The property met our expectations but unfortunately the food didn't.

Very smart decor in the pub itself and the bedroom. The room ( no.1) had a lovely bathroom and nice quality towels. Good accommodation for £95. Good access to the M5. Very quiet, although on a road there were no traffic issues or noise.

I loved the aesthetic of the property. Old coaching house and inn. It had beautifully preserved beams and the rooms were quirky. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were all lovely.

The shower room probably could do with a little updating, ie the shower door didn't seal properly (small puddle on the floor after showering) etc, but saying that it all worked fine and the shower itself was decent.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, brilliant evening meals along with a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere all round.

The only reason I have marked facilities down is the wifi is not good enough, I was travelling with work and ended up leaving my laptop in the car as I couldn't have done any work if I'd tried.

Lovely stay at The Vernon, staff could not have possibly done more, they were all welcoming and attentive. The Chef is an absolute star! Both my evening meal and breakfast were top notch.

    Nothing not to like

This a beautifully restored 16th century property that is warm and cosy and very clean. I stayed for two nights and slept very well in a comfortable bed. Poached eggs on toast and coffee was a great start to the day. I’ll definitely stay again if I’m back in this part of the country.

Breakfast was good, but the fried eggs were awful! A personal request would be to get rid of the handled 'pans' on the plate for the tomatoes and beans. The bed was awfully squeaky, although comfortable. A bit more attention to detail in the cleaning would be recommended to remove cobwebs and leftover caps from toiletries used by the previous resident in the shower

The room was nicely presented and the hotel as a whole is attractive and welcoming, with a massive car park. The staff were very friendly.

The breakfast was the smallest English ever. A tiny egg, one piece of bacon, a very small spicy sausage and a spoonful of tomato. Hash brown and black pudding did not appear. as ticked by me on the sheet. I did not say anything as did not want to cause unpleasantness until I saw the people at the next table have 3 x the scrambled egg to my partner’s spoonful. I can only conclude that being polite did not cut any ice with the chef. There were no cups available when we arrived nor any English tea bags in the tin. When we asked for mugs as did not know only cups , we were told we don’t do mugs. When we asked in a friendly way for a cup then we were eventually given 2 from the cupboard with no apology

Welcome on arrival was excellent. Lovely atmosphere in the bar and barman and receptionist were both super.

I had an excellent roast beef sandwich for dinner, but somewhat spoilt by too much horse radish sauce. Suggest the sauce should be an option on the side, or a menu option.

Breakfast was good, but rather standard, Room was quiet and comfortable. Nearby Jinney Ring Craft Centre within walking distance was an interesting shopping opportunity, with good views towards Hanbury Church and the Malvern Hills.

Having booked breakfast for 8:30 am, we went down at the for mentioned time only to find everywhere was locked and no one was to be seen. The chef had overslept and didn't open up until 9:10 am. and started on breakfast.which was tasty. He was very apologetic and embarrassed.

The room was tastefully decorated and clean . The evening meal in the restaurant was of a good standard and tasty but could have done with more selection of veg. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Even with the chef over sleeping, we would go back here in the future.
