The breakfast was more than I expected an delicious. The location was good for old town and amenities.

Having a room on the top floor was difficult to do the narrow stairs, you didn't want to forget anything and need to run back up, however on the plus side staying there 3 days made it easier on the last day.

Breakfast was wonderful, delicious and ample. We enjoyed dinner there 2 nights. The room was comfortable and beautiful design. Quaint pub feel. Shower was large. Loved the small touches milk, water and beer in the fridge, coffee and tea also available. It was in walking distance to the Ferry's. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Best cappucino I had. My breakfast was perfect. The English brealfast was just enough and not greasy. Easy access to Netflix, so I was able to catch up with the latest film I keep on missing. There was a bathrobe and slippers. Hairdryer is accessible.

Noise from pubs and from what we assume was the room above. Could heat every creak and movement from.above and the telly like it was in our own room.

The White Star Tavern pub/restaurant was great, excellent food (appreciated the 10% guest discount) and breakfast was fantastic value for money included with our very reasonable room rate! Our standard double room also exceeded expectations, very good facilities, very comfy bed and lovely extras such as quality tea and coffee and chocolates and even proper milk, a beer and still and sparkling water in the fridge. All staff we encountered were great. We did find the location was quite noisy as opposite some lively pubs but this is subjective, depending on what you want from your stay. We could hear everything from room above as well. Otherwise very happy with our stay.

The location was perfect for the cruise terminal as we were dropping some friends off. Staff extremely friendly and the food in the restaurant was excellent.

Steep stairs but not much that could be done about that due to the age of the building.

Staff were so lovely, attentive and gave a warm welcome on arrival. Nothing too much trouble. Our room was beautiful with quality furnishings. Bed was super comfy with lovely bedding. Total blackout curtains with a roller blind also. Lots of complimentary items from bottled water in fridge to chocolates, quality coffee pods/tea, soaps, lotions etc. Had a safe in room which was a bonus. Quiet mini fridge in the wardrobe too. We were on the second floor.... There's lots of steep stairs.... 4 flights to get to second floor. There is a really nice seating are on the first floor landing. Key card entry system into the guest stairway which felt very secure and private. The Tavern has plenty of comfortable seating. Great selection of drinks. Excellent, cheery staff. Seated, table service dining area or bar area meals. Security staff were lovely too. Had 3 course meal in the dining area, lovely quality of food, very tasty. The continental breakfast selection is superb. Good selection of cooked breakfast. Great location. Would definitely stay here again.

Really lovely 2 night stay at the white star tavern. Staff were friendly and helpful it all felt relaxed and easy. The room was very clean and breakfast the next morning was really good it was fresh and not stodgy, a good set up for the day. We would definitely stay again .

My room was clean and spacious, when I booked it said small double and I was expecting us to not have much space, I was happily surprised, the shower is so spacious and spotless, lots of space in the bathroom. The mini fridge had milk and bottled water, which was replaced every day, that was really impressive! The bed was so comfortable and bedding smelled fresh!
