You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomThe number of stairs! Steps up to the front door, and stairs down to the single rooms and breakfast room. Not fun with dodgy knees and / or luggage. I'd known there were some, but not quite how many. The light over the bed didn't work, and when I pointed this out, the receptionist said they knew and it couldn't be fixed. Why? and if that was the case why was it still there? Not good. There was a lamp but on the tray with the kettle etc on the other side of the room, and the lead wouldn't have reached across so no good for reading in bed. I didn't mind sharing the shower rooms - no bath - but I could only get one of them to work. Possibly me being dim but Michael said he'd look at it
I did enjoy my stay and would like to go back. Apart from Michael the manager and David at breakfast I didn't see much of the staff so can't comment much there, tho there's a gorgeous cat -see pic. My room tho basic was clean and comfortable enough with room to stow clothes and get the case out of the way. And the means to make tea. I don't eat breakfast much, but what I had I enjoyed particularly the scrambled egg and the porridge. And the marmalade; I'd have brought that home if there'd been room in the case! For folk who do eat breakfast there is plenty of choice: cereal, orange juice, eggs, bacon etc and toast. The location is good, just a 10 min walk into town, and the stop for the 4 - East Cowes, and 9 - Newport buses across the road in Melville St, which is good for those - like me - who don't care for uphill walks. There one or two issues, but on the whole it's value for money.

United KingdomThe entrance driveway to the car park was tight but manageable, down a narrow street. It would have been difficult with a large car, especially as other cars were parked right opposite. The house would have been a challenge for guests with mobility problems. Our shower was rather feeble, but worked.
Good breakfast was available at convenient hours, and served very efficiently with no hassle. All the staff were friendly, and the general atmosphere was relaxed. The whole place was very clean. The spacious car park at the rear was good. Ryde town centre is within easy walking distance.
