We had a room on the far side of the hotel, which was a fair walk from reception so should have bought wheeled luggage bags. The room was rather warm and we were not able to adjust the radiator thermostat. Breakfast was satisfactory but eggs were rather baked in the food warmer. Coffee was insipid, croissants soggy. (Hilton hotels are usually better than this in our experience) We had hoped to use the pool but it was rather crowded with children's swimming lessons.

Well located for Thame and the M40. We were dining at Le Manoir which is only two miles away, so convenient. We received a warm welcome along with a freshly baked cookie. The hotel is modern, accessible and communal areas are nicely decorated. Lovely inner courtyards and nice bar areas. The room was a fairly good size. Good shower/toiletries/fluffy towels. The bed was comfortable. A good supply of coat hangers in the wardrobe, also good supply of coffee/tea/milk and complimentary spring water.

Would have liked scrambled or boiled eggs

We were told a courtyard dog friendly room would be booked but at 11pm they had allocated a 1st floor room with no access to courtyard. It took 30 mins to find an appropriate room

Location, large rooms and Good shower

Room was comfortable, Breakfast very comprehensive and well laid out.

The room was not what I paid for. And was not clean enough, bathroom not clean. Breakfast was not good especially the mushrooms served for breakfast were very dry and the bacon was too chewy

I have an allergy to gluten and your staff were most helpful with my issues.

The room been dirty, the connecting rooms dont been ready for us, the pool isn't open all the time, don't have room service and the information of hotel is wrong.

The food

Room good. No room service to order food even though advertised as such on website. Very big building and kept getting lost as signage not great. Had asked for oat milk in room and had a reply it would be but wasn't. Vegan food was produced when asked but took some time and not brilliant. Staff were very good and helpful though. As it was Easter I think they may have been a bit short staffed.

First night in (booked for 4 nights) radiator in the room was stuck on high as the thermostat was broken, simple fix was ring reception and ask for some pliers to turn it off at the lock shield to be to told maintenance have no tools ! Man arrives looks at it and doesn’t seem to understand my explanation and returns with a fan 5 mins later ! Eventually reception moves me however to a smaller room that to me wasn’t very clean really , however after 8 hours driving I simply went to bed

Great quiet location

Reception staff not very helpful almost felt like an inconvenience when checking out. Bar food ok a little overpriced compared to other hotels.

Leisure facilities very good and friendly staff.

Breakfast was busy but needed more people on service and clearing, seating. We waited a while and buffet was cleared down earlier than expected.

Efficient check in.Appreciated the additional welcome for bag upon check in. Location was perfect as we went to Le Manoir Aux Quat Seasons. Some options for gluten free breakfast items. Enjoyed the pool and spar area before leaving.

Great location and good standard of hotel

Evening meal menu poor , expensive and standard of food not good, fish and chips was soggy ,bland and pretty awful. a lot more young children than we expected, noisy.

Hotel and facilities very good

Spa treatment wasn’t great - member of staff wasn’t what I would expect and resulted in a disappointing experience.

Hotel was good - rooms were better than expected for price; clean & spacious. Hotel were helpful & friendly.

Needs more signage internally. Finally worked out levels 1&2 and room numbers!

Food at the restaurante was expensive and not very good! Cups and silverware were dirty! Restaurant didn’t have a good atmosphere ! People running around looking stressed made the meal experience feel crap!

Facilities are great! Gym and spa hours also great! Bed and room was very comfortable and clean! Breakfast options were awesome as well! Lovely dog friendly hotel!

Could have been a bit cleaner in the room. Reception staff (Tanya) had poor customer service skills.

The ladies' changing rooms in the spa when we went swimming are filthy, there was so many dirty towels piled up all over, and the floor was so dirty. It lets the hotel down as it does not reflect this. When I complained at the spa reception, the young gentleman really didn't care. it was such a shame.

The staff in the hotel are lovely, nothing too much trouble. The rooms were lovely and we slept so well, the beds are so comfortable. Breakfast was good, and there was plenty of choice.

Breakfast disappointing. No choice of eggs - only fried. Not much choice of fruit eg no prunes - melon, pineapple not particularly ripe.

Room comfortable , television difficult to work. Couldn’t be bothered to contact staff to sort out.

Booking com were not clear about whether breakfast was included in the reservation details online . Stayed 2 nights but we had to ask for room service as it appeared to be forgotten. Drinks and meals had to be paid for on ordering, as they could not be added to the room reservation and paid with the bill on departure.

Very comfortable hotel. Nice rooms. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

The pillows were ok could be a little firmer, the room did have a funky smell but it got better ones you opened the windows, the mini bar didn’t have any prices on, the towels had a slight smell on them also. Other than those small things we enjoyed everything.

Love the cookie on arrival perfect to keep the kids quite on check in! Loved the coffee machine, the beds were comfy, we stayed in the st Anthony suit and it was a surprise! It definitely added to our experience

Lovely staff. Couldn’t have been more helpful! They helped us with celebrating the family birthdays and were so polite, kind and brilliant. Lots of space for residents and we felt very relaxed here.
