The size of the room and the room temperature.

The room was clean but I felt the room was very small almost same size with the bathroom and the room was very cold. I was there on business and breakfast time was starting late for a week day. However, the young lady who was there arranged for my breakfast to be served early and this was very sweet and lovely and great customer care.

This whole place is a bit old and shabby and in need of some maintenance/sprucing up. One guest got stuck in her room because the door got stuck!

Very clean, comfortable, breakfast was nice, lovely location. Nice to have a pub below and it was quiet by 11pm. Nice tea/coffee stuff in the room.

Room decor outdated and peeling wallpaper in bathroom with cracked tiling and tape on windows isn't great. Was also unsure of the cable that was hanging from the ceiling that met the floor wasn't sealed off and have no idea what it was for but left it well alone. You had to get out of bed to turn the bedside lamp off.

The room was clean and so was the bathroom and flexible with check in times. Good to have a taxi call button on reception.

It appears that as a Bangladeshi establishment no pork is on the premises. Poor example of a cooked "full" English breakfast, fried egg (going cold when served), turkey "rasher" (not bacon), chicken sausage (not pork), small (very hot) tub of beans. Nothing else. Toast served together with main food on the side of the cooked plate so cold when you got to it. Butter pat on plate but nothing else to put on it. Probably not worth paying B&B rate. Bed surprisingly comfortable (was expecting it to be worn out to go with the décor) but bedding inadequate. Very thin duvet and no extra items available in the room - I ended up using the bath towel as an extra "blanket". To be fair however I did not enquire if extra was available from the staff.

Perfectly reflects what I'd expect from a hotel of this price range given its proximity to expensive central Oxford. Rooms have the basic furniture you need, but it is tired and low quality. The room was clean, although the heating is best described as "adequate" given weather was chilly but not outright cold. Decor very tired throughout the building. Carpets showing long use (and abuse), Bathroom cracked or missing tiles and mould on the ceiling (no ventilation when showering). WiFi adequate, although having to switch between the upstairs and downstairs routers is a faff. I was there on a Friday night and the bar was busier than expected given there is a pub just down the road, but the room was not affected by noise. Will I stay there again? Yes, the location is perfect for my needs but only as long as the price remains competitive to better establishments. (You get what you pay for and it shows in this case!)

Very tired hotel; threadbare carpets, twanging springs in the bed, missing bathroom fittings. Ordered a “hand pressed, homemade burger” thin, tough burger, cheese spread instead of “slice of cheese”, missing tomato etc….

It could really do with a refurbishment, although it was clean it's very run down and outdated, the hairdryer should be in a museum, never seen one that old and only blows out a light cold air. Breakfast was nice but very limited choice and wasn't offered tea or coffee

Others have commented on how basic it is. This didn’t bother me, it had a bed and a shower, so was good for my needs.

A beautiful looking restaurant cum b and b, with a huge garden. I booked very last minute and they were able accommodate me without fuss.

The Breakfast was smaller than expecting, and quite dry, I wouldn't have the breakfast again. Some of the wallpaper was coming off in the bathroom.

Great parking and location for driving. Lovely river walk nearby. Friendly staff. Bedroom was a good size. Pub prices were good and the place had a nice vibe. Room was warm and clean. Double bed huge and twin beds comfy too. I would stay at the hotel again potentially for price and friendly staff.

room was very tired. Needed a refurbishment. A coat of paint for example. Holes in the carpet. Ill fitting windows letting in draught. room was cold. Couldn't turn the heating up. Hairdryer didn't work. Heated towel rail in bathroom didn't work. tiles coming off wall in bathroom. With abit of effort could be so much better.

Restaurant and dinner and breakfast was good. Room was large and the bathroom was large. Room was clean. Sheets clean.

The other bed in the twin room (room 2) creaked whenever you moved and needs replacing. The one by the wall is fine. Very weak pressure in the shower. There was no TV in the room (despite it being advertised there was one) Breakfast was poor. Limited range of cereals. Only one type of milk. One staff cooking and one staff serving, so my cooked breakfast took about 15 minutes. The menu was written on a bit of old paper. No bacon (only turkey rashers), tiny amount of mushrooms. Only white bread. The old gentleman on the next table wanted brown bread and they didn't have any. There seems to be one guy doing everything and he's doing his best. He doesn't seem to have great interpersonal skills, and I needed to ask him a few times for things.

The bed was comfy. I got a good night's sleep. Nice, quiet location, a £2 bus ride from the City Centre. The two staff did their best when asked for things. Breakfast took time to arrive but was filling.
