The shephard’s hut was finished fantastically with everything you could need. It was warm, comfortable and had great amenities. The view was absolutely beautiful.

To much of a long road with know lights at night to feel safe and see so didn’t like to go out at night for a drink also water was really warm

We were unsure we were going the right way when we arrived as the map we were using showed the shepherds hut just behind the cemetery but we carried on up the road & under a bridge & then saw a sign for the farm & followed the small road up the hill & found it

The shepherds hut was well thought out with some lovely touch’s, all you needed for your stay. We loved the fact there was a bathroom in the hut too. The view from the shepherds hut was amazing . A great area for good walks & a pub just down the road plus cafes etc in the village too but can self cater as small kitchen area in the hut too

There was a horrible smell of sewage outside majority of the time (not farmyard smell, rotten egg kind). The smoke alarm went off a few times in the night for no reason, waking us up and deafening us. The sink tap took forever to heat up, to the point we gave up and filled pans in the shower. Lot of dust on the light over the bed and high points.

The hut was lovely. Clean and modern inside with everything you need for a stay. The view in the morning was amazing. Would defiantly stay here again next time I’m in the Peak District!

There was nothing really not to like really, maybe just a few suggestions to improve people's experience. A small canopy or awning overfront door to stop decking from getting wet and slippery also provides some shade.

Exceptional Stay, from location, quality of the Shepard's Hut and Facilities. The Shepard's Hut is deceptively bigger than you think on the inside. The fixtures and fittings were of a very high standard. The bathroom was lovely and clean, and genius use of space throughout the hut. It was very cosy and warm thanks to the under floor heating. The fold down bed was easy to manage.

Little space for clothes etc. With the bed down our cases took up most of the floor space. A few more hooks could have helped and a mat inside the door to stop the floor getting wet/dirty. (Although it's small enough to wipe with a couple of kitchen towels.) We were hiking and there was nowhere really to dry/drip 2 lots of clothes. One saucepan and a frying pan were enough for our needs but a couple more would be helpful. Might be worth letting bookers know in advance that a footpath goes right past it, through the farmhouse yard.

Great views. Comfortable, clean, everything worked, well provisioned. Plenty of sockets. Surrounded by sheep/lambs. It warmed up quickly once we were inside. Good bathroom. Bed is comfortable. (It rained a lot so we had no opportunity to use the outside space or bbq.)

Mattress felt a bit cheap and springy. The foldaway table was flimsy. The shower didn't have great pressure. Watch out for pot holes on the drive up as well (nothing to do with the lodge, just putting this on here for anyone else with a low car like me)

The view was stunning, beautifully quiet. Shower and toilet was lovely. Really clean. TV and WiFi worked fine, soundbar had Bluetooth so you can chill and listen to music etc good cooking facilities.

It wasn't an issue for me but if you have mobility issues be wary that it is fairly steep up to the space you are staying in so make sure you are bringing a vehicle or scooter.

Location was excellent, very out of the way perfect views at night and some lambs for company!

we had an AMAZING nights stay. Let me tell you the view is INCREDIBLE one that will blow you away. The hut itself is so snug and cosy but has everything you would need for your stay. We loved the fact that we were so close to nature and the lambs in particular were adorable. Can't wait to return

Had such a great overnight stay at The Shepherds Hut! Really clean and comfortable accommodation with everything we needed. The views outside were stunning and we enjoyed sitting out on the decking watching the lambs with a glass of wine. Will definitely look at returning here again in the future, thank you for a lovely stay!
