Susan, the owner, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The breakfast in the morning was great. She makes the delicious marmalade and jam. The location is walking distance from the Perth bus and train station.

Woodlea is a 10 minute walk into the centre of Perth. Rooms were clean and tidy and had toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities. Host was welcoming and interested in why we were visiting the area.

There is nothing about the B&B itself that I didn't like, however, it was located on a bit of a dodgy street, which made it uncomfortable to walk back to in the evening, so that's just something to be aware of - but it's not an actual fault of the B&B.

Susan was a great host who was always willing to lend some local information or ask about your plans for the day. She was very attentive to all aspects of the stay, from cleaning to cooking to general upkeep of the B&B (all of which she seemed to do by herself which is more of a testament to the effort she put in). The breakfast was excellent, with much of the produce being fresh from local farms or from the hotel itself. There was a lot of variety at breakfast, so if you ever feel yourself growing tired of anything in particular, there's sure to be something else for you (although I will admit the vegetarians pulled a slightly shorter straw when it came to hot breakfasts - but I think that was maybe my personal tastes). As I mentioned before, throughout the stay there was attention to detail, such as fresh flowers on the breakfast table each morning, sourced from the garden, which I thought was something small but it was nice to see nonetheless. The room was reasonably sized with a very comfortable bed, and I slept very well throughout the whole week (although that might have also had to do with the fact I walked an innumerable number of steps each day). The bathroom was much bigger than anticipated and the shower was easy to use, although the temperature scale used on the shower had to have been logarithmic because I turned the temperature up by one notch from a rather lukewarm temperature and then the next thing I knew I was being deluged in water hot enough to boil a carrot (perhaps a slight exaggeration but just be careful how much you turn the temperature up by). There are a few things to do in Perth and plenty of nice walks (including Kinnoull Hill Forest Park, which is great for seeing red squirrels and has an amazing view over the River Tay), but most of the excitement can be found outside of it, depending what you're into.

Good welcome at the front door move inside to a beautiful staircase and surrounding decor, rooms were comfortable. We both had a very nice cooked breakfast and every you wanted was there. Short walk to town center too.

We were only here for one night. It’s a great location, handy to the station and downtown Perth. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The owner was great.

Bedroom a little dated. But again a personal preference. Very very clean and comfortable bed.

Very nice lady who owns it. Perfect location to Perth city centre. Lovely breakfast alot of options although I was a little disappointed not to let my English girlfriend experience square sausage, haggis and potato scone for the first time as they didn't do it with breakfast. But that's just a personal preference. It was a great breakfast otherwise and fresh.
