Breakfast consisted of cereal juice toast fruit yoghurt but had to ask for white bread to toast and when I ordered tea it came without a milk jug

Hotel is slightly dated, but must say kept well. Don't really have any negative comments.

All you need for a short stay. - reasonably priced - good size room - friendly staff - good continental breakfast included - ample free parking - free internet and reasonable sized TV + do like to be able to make my own cup of tea, which was freely available in the room

As above. Also the Bar wasn't open so instead of relaxing with a drink we had to drive to find a pub which meant that one of us couldn't drink anyway.

The advertising/website said Breakfast included - it didn't state this this was just a continental breakfast, this should have been made clear as we then had to look around for a more substantial breakfast as we had a long drive ahead and wanted to drive on full stomachs!

I stayed at this property on my own for a work trip. The hotel felt empty, possibly due to being a Tuesday night. I’m female and stay in hotels alone all over the U.K. and always feel safe, relaxed and secure once in my room. But in this occasion I did not. I really feel that the hotel rooms needed some kind of internal security bolt/chain/lock that couldn’t not be accessed by anyone from the outside of the room. If a room key was inserted into the door lock on the outside of the room, it would open the lock that I had turned from inside the room. So therefore, I never felt fully safe in the room alone when I stayed here. It’s a shame as the hotel and room itself was lovely

It was great to have breakfast included in the cost. It would be even nicer if there were a bit more on offer for the continental breakfast, say hard boiled eggs, hot chocolate drink (sachet) and more fruit options.

We had clearly failed to do enough research, and were disappointed to find that the breakfast was not more substantial, and that the restaurant was closed on the two evenings we were there (Sunday and Monday). However there is a good, if rather lively Indian restaurant, the Chilli Massalla, in easy walking distance.

Friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean, comfortable and reasonably spacious. Although the road is fairly busy, we were not bothered by noise and there is plenty of parking, free and on site. Breakfast is pretty minimal "continental", but alright.

I was told the owners were on holiday and I think I may've been the only guest. I had to phone the hotel number to check in and out as no-one was on reception. The other reviews rave about the cooked breakfasts, but for me it was help yourself; a couple of slices of brown bread, cereal, juice and fruit. The shower pressure wasn't great. Dated decor.

Free parking. Clean, comfortable room. It was fine for my needs for a one night stay visiting someone locally. Staff were courteous once I got hold of them.

They didn't serve alcohol despite being advertised as having a bar. The cooked breakfast was very poor & Halal which wasn't mentioned until we got there.

The girl at breakfast was curt. Asked for an omelette and was told “no”. It’s under the flight path too!

It was annoying that they lock the door at night and as a smoker who needed to get out, it wasn’t ideal that I had to wake up one of the staff members so she can open the door for me

Rooms need a refresh. New carpet, decor and bathrooms for starters. An improved door key would move it into the 21st century also.

Great food in the Italian restaurant. Polite and friendly staff. Good for a short one night stay.
