Absolutely the perfect place to stay for my two nights allowing me to explore Haltwhistle region and walk part of Hadrian’s Wall. As a solo traveller traveling by train I was very grateful to the hosts collecting me from the station and also from my pub dinner. Room was perfect - warm and inviting. Breakfast was particularly wonderful - literally fluffiest omelette ever!! Love the farm location. Thank you Linda

Location in the centre of a working farm and at lambing season was a real bonus. Friendly host. Delicious cooked breakfast. Access to walks and historic locations. Facilities in the room of fridge and microwave to prepare snacks.

    Nothing!

Wydon Farm is idyllic - comfy, cozy, spacious rooms chock full of luxury extras, with the added benefit of being on a quiet sheep farm, but only minutes away from several quaint towns and all the Roman-related sites you could want to explore - Vindolanda, Roman Army Museum, Housesteads fort, Hadrian’s Wall, etc. Linda was a delightful host, providing all sorts of great local insights and advice, along with a beautiful made-to-order English breakfast. The bedside chocolates, variety of teas, biscuits & toiletries, extra towels were all much appreciated, along with a very comfy bed, jacuzzi bath and spacious room.

Track to the accommodation is single track and a bit muddy, rough and bumpy, but it is a working farm, so to be expected.

Welcomed with a warm smile and good humour. Studio style B&B accommodation with an extra large and very comfortable king-size bed and lovely pillows. Second single bed also in the room.Nice 2 seater sofa, large wall mounted TV with link to Netflix and a small kitchen area with fridge with fresh milk, microwave oven, toaster and kettle with full range of hot drinks. Crockery and cutlery also provided. Delicious farm stay breakfast, plenty to choose from and promptly served. Nice quiet location within the rurality of a working farm.

I enjoyed the couple of days I spent at Wydon Farm and left refreshed from the experience. The cottage was clean, well decorated and maintained to a high standard. Linda was an excellent host and looked after me and the other guests and was available to advise and help if needed. Breakfasts were lovely and a great start to the day. I intend to return to Wydon Farm in the future.

Fabulous 4 day stay in the hills, yet so central to all things Roman

We just happened to be staying in a few of the days that had exceptionally good weather which was a little hot and muggy. So although the room had doors that were styled as stable doors so you could open the top half - this wasn't something I was keen to do overnight whilst we were sleeping and there wasn't a window that we could open a little and feel secure during the night so it was a little stuffy overnight....but this is such a little thing......everything else was a complete positive for this stay. Wydon Farm B&B is a little treasure.

The room was lovely. It was well catered for. It was en-suite with complimentary shampoo/shower gel, hand wash and a wet room style shower. It was very clean and comfortable (super beds). There was a large double bed...probably king size, with a single bed. A two seater sofa, a small kitchenette area with kettle, toaster etc. Full range of coffee/tea and a few biscuits. Linda (the owner) couldn't do enough to make sure we had what we needed. She even offered us transport to and from Blenkinsopp Castle Inn (where we fancied for dinner) on the first night so that I (the driver) could have a nice meal and a wee glass of wine. Wydon Farm was a B&B and the breakfasts were amazing and plentiful. It is in such a central location.....much nicer than staying in any of the many establishments that were in the town of Haltwhistle itself. This is a working farm so you do hear the farmer out on his quad bikes in the morning, the sheep and the horses but for us that just made it all the better.

Nothing to complain about at all!

It was a lovely place to stay away from all the noise as we had been travelling for over 3 weeks prior to reaching Haltwhistle. The room was huge and also the bathroom and we had room to just spread out and relax

We were pleased to have the option of dinner on site as the trek back into Haltwhistle was longer than we expected.

Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed an outstanding lamb roast dinner, then breakfast in the morning was also excellent. Our room was spacious and comfortable. A very quiet and relaxing spot in the countryside near Haltwhistle.
