Eating area in kitchen cramped. Table near door potentially dangerous for anyone standing or moving into seating if the door was opened.

Family room (for 3) with bathroom. Restaurant availability. Friendly, helpful staff. Kitchen and fridge storage. Plenty of parking.

A little far from the town, which was probably only a problem because the buses were not running and so we had to walk into Stratford after waiting at the bus stop for 1.5 hours!

A beautiful building with so much space. Our room was on the second floor and we remarked that it was well heated on that floor.

Location. It was far away from center and there was not bus each hour on weekend. Sharing bathroom and WC I did not like.

It was nice place and room was wide. Staff was nice. Facilitéis are good. I like the garden.

Receptionist on arrival could have been much warmer and friendly. The automatic lights in the bathroom are too bright - I prefer a shower in lower lighting. Hooks - hooks to hang things are so important in these basic rooms.

Excellent kitchen (except the temperamental hob). Great games room. It was quiet when I booked so I had the room to myself - great! Beautiful location, beautiful building .

I had thought I had booked a room with shower and toilet but had been allocated a room which shared a toilet and shower.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast in the morning on site which was lovely.

The shared kitchen needs a deep clean and replacement of some of the cooking equipment and teatowels/dish brushes as there was a high turnover of people using it.

Good location in an historic building. Good range of facilities. The shared kitchen was useful and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable.

There was no network and the Hostel wifi has zero coverage in the rooms. So you have to come down in lounge area to use phone. It becomes worst when you have absolute no network in the rooms.

Overall everything was good, staff was excellent, room, etc. except the network and wifi.

My only possible criticism is that the over-bed lights, which I guess are YHA standard, as so close to the head of the bed that your pillow (or head) tends to block out the light if you sit up and read. that's all I can manage - otherwise perfect and great value.

Very clean room with everything you need. Very neat and well-designed ensuite shower room. Didn't have time to use the lounges and public spaces but they looked extremely inviting.

Unfortunately there are always people staying in these types of establishments who are very misplaced, ill-mannered and lack of humanity to others. And that unfortunately happened on the last day of my stay in that establishment and I decided not to renew my reservation for more days.

The staff was very friendly and attentive at all times.

It is too abandoned all around it, as well as giving a very ugly image of the whole environment surrounding the building, such as the beautiful park with gardens that it has, and it is a real shame that they are letting it fall like this with the historical value that a building has and that it does not cost so much to keep it clean and tidy for the enjoyment of guests and the population. I hope this reaches someone in the company and they sort it out soon.

The veggie sausages were grim. Everything else in the 'eat as much as you can' breakfast menu was delicious.

Staff were very welcoming as was the old building, creaks and all. Simple comfortable room, a very well equipped shared kitchen/dining room for self-cateters. Coffee/tea/cakes and a small bar complemented the restaurant where breakfast, lunch and dinner could be taken for an extra fee. Plenty of private off road parking (albeit a bit muddy after lots of rain). Ample walking to local village of Alverston and to Ferry Boat Inn facing onto the Avon.
