Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandEverything was good
We planned a last minute trip to Olympia and this hotel was so so fab. Kind of surprised with how lovely it was, loved the 70’s vibes (done well), friendly staff, comfortable rooms with nice complimentary wine, great breakfast buffet (the dinner buffet for €20 was also great) and the pool was wonderful. Highly recommend.

United KingdomThe breakfast is excellent but it would be helpful to provide TRAYS which would eliminate the necessity for many journeys to and from the buffet.
I have stayed in many hotels over the years and I can say that the staff here were the kindest, nicest and most helpful staff I have ever met. Full marks to them. I also liked the pool, which is quiet during the hottest times of the day. The grand, airy public spaces of the hotel eg the vast entrance foyer, the dining room and terrace give the place a kind of 1960s faded glamour - and I mean that as a compliment.

BelgiumThere were only a few details that could be improved. The pool lifeguard could be a bit more attentive during his shift. While we were happy to see the plants being cared for, the spraying was done during the day while it was windy, and some of the mist may have reached the pool area – it would be better if this could be scheduled in the evening. In our bathroom, we noticed that there was no soap provided, something small that could have easily been checked beforehand. These are minor issues, but worth addressing for an even better guest experience.
We truly enjoyed our stay at Amalia Hotel. The spaces of the hotel are beautiful, spacious, and reflect the kind of architecture we personally appreciate. Having stayed in other Amalia Hotels across Greece, we knew to expect a certain standard – and this location met it. The atmosphere was simple yet very comfortable, with a pleasant fragrance throughout the premises. The staff, at every level, were exceptionally polite and welcoming. Cleanliness was impeccable across the hotel, and the pool was impressively large. We also appreciated thoughtful touches, such as the care of the gardens and the fact that plants were watered regularly. The buffet was quite good, and breakfast had everything we needed for a satisfying start to the day.

AustraliaThe shower curtain - time for a screen!
The hotel complex was extensive with a very spacious lobby and restaurant. It is set in lovely lush green gardens. The room was big and comfortable and I appreciated the bath in the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was great, and we enjoyed a buffet dinner for 20€

It’s a beautiful hotel with nice scenery. The rooms are very spacious. We had a balcony also. There was an awesome dinner buffet for $20. There was a huge selection of vegetables, pasta, salads and desserts. The morning breakfast items had huge selection. Totally impressed with Amalia hospitality. Enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very close to the main Archeological sites and museum.

GermanyAmalia is a hotel chain in Greece. The hotel in Olympia was certainly once one of the flagships. But that was forty or fifty years ago. Nevertheless, everything is very well maintained. The architecture is spacious and there is a huge, very cold pool. But you can't overlook the fact that the hotel urgently needs a thorough renovation. The staff were extremely friendly. The breakfast corresponds to the quality of the hotel, which is mainly used by coaches from 5 pm. The buses also leave again between 7 and 8, which is when it gets noisy in the corridors. You can walk to the ancient part or drive a few minutes by car and park there free of charge.

NetherlandsThe hotel is very old and the rooms especially need an upgrade. The hotel is mostly used by big groups coming on tours/excursions. The food at the restaurant, both for dinner and breakfast, was very low quality. Dinner food was tasteless, and it was like re-heated food from the day before. It is better to find a dining option outside the hotel. Breakfast was just OK, but nothing special. The toilet in the room smelled a lot like cigarrete in the morning, probably from someone smoking in an adjacent room. Overall, it is a hotel to spend the night and move on with your itinerary, but I would not spend my holidays here.
The staff at the reception and the restaurant were very kind, polite, and attentive. The rooms are big, spacious and very clean. The location is very close to the archaeological site of ancient Olympia.

GermanyBreakfast could be better.
Very unique hotel in a beautiful landscape. The rooms are old, but super well maintained so I would call it retro and we loved it! Rooms were very quiet. The pool area outside was very nice. Enough, free parking spots. Everyone was very nice and the staff seemed to love their jobs. We stayed one night because we thought it’s a cheap hotel, but we could have easily spend a week in this hotel and the area. Location is perfect! Many restaurants in the city nearby, but I think you have to take the car.
