Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel, room quite stained and aircon leaking, no tables and chair outside.. bathrooms outdated and broken

The location was nice & quiet, but a bit difficult to reach on public transportation and not really close to anything.
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly & helpful . Overall great value for money.

The hotel is a bit more run down than the photos show, the carpet was stained, the balcony dirty and no furniture. The shower’s jets didn’t work and the handle came loose. The breakfast was medium at best. Wouldn’t recommend for more than a one night stay.
The staff is the redeeming quality. Amazing receptionists that are friendly and welcoming. We were allowed to leave our bags for the day after check out.

Although clean and still functional, the rooms and bathrooms especially would benefit from some renovation work.
Extremely friendly staff and close to Sygrou avenue as well as not too far from central Athens.

Old furniture. Location was not so good for us, quite far from the center.
Kind staff. Comfortable bed. On the way to the sea. Breakfast was good but compared to other hotels (in the city center) at the same price, the quality and choice was worse.

Noticed quite some traffic of prostitutes in reception area. When travelling with children ..not optimal...

The lift, it's too small. Breakfast although good and fresh could do with a bit more variety.
The room was clean and spacious. Although a balcony was available stepping onto the balcony was an issue, as there were loads of pigeon droppings. The quietness of the room and hotel location was great, and taxi's readily available. Room AC worked a treat giving a good nights sleep. The staff were exceptionally helpful and have a wealth of knowledge about Athens.

The air conditioner was very weak in my room. The young guy at the reception was very unfriendly.
Very expensive hotel and I don't understand why. Not in the center and nothing special around.

it didn't matter that much, but I asked night staff for a wake up call and to order a taxi. Neither of these were fulfilled. But we could easily order an uber ourselves and I'd set my own alarm, so the wake-up call was just belt and braces.
Just v short night before ferry. Staff friendly and room was v comfortable and had excellent facilities. Bathroom v good.

Breakfast was very basic, staff cleaned table with a dusting broom which was a bit weird. On booking it says “pets are allowed”. when we arrived the receptionist finished the check in and told us our dog isn’t allowed. They were fine in the end as I mentioned it would be on booking. But it s a little strange either way.
Room was clean, walking distance (about 30min) tp the city center. Hotel staff was friendly

The air-condition unit was not strong enough to support the room in a heat-wave ! Personally i would like more pressure in the Jacuzzi tub and in the shower cabin.
Very nice, spacious room Courteous and helpful staff Good WiFi (even in the 2nd floor) TV Signal ok Soft pillows and bed.

The balcony could use some minimum furniture, we moved some of the furniture in the room outside to hang out a bit on it. The breakfast was not an issue, it was fairly decent, but the restaurant they serve it in seems quite neglected.
The hotel is a good option for a short stay in Athens. We needed a place with private parking, not so far from the city center and so we found this one. The hotel gave us the idea that in its glory days was a nice and very elegant hotel. Now it is slightly old, but the rooms do not seem completely outdated. The bathroom was actually very big and had everything we needed. After 2 weeks of traveling through Greece and meeting smaller property owners that put so much energy into making your stay nice, this place seemed rather impersonal, but this did not affect our stay that much. The city center is 30-40 minutes walking distance.
