Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Breakfast a bit hectic in confined serving space
Stayed in 4th Floor very good size room and comfortable. Breakfast is a bit hectic. All guests trying to have breakfast in very very small serving area. Location is great for walking to all areas

Pretty noisy - you can hear people from other rooms and the hall/staircase. Two smaller windows in the room with no shading. Therefore sleep was limited.
Very good central location, nice rooms, good breakfast.

Could have been more clean, room was a bit warm at night, we needed the a/c remote a few times but couldn't find it anywhere.
Amazing location right a few steps from acropolis metro station. Very good breakfast, freshly made. Comfy beds and sunblock curtains made our stay relaxing. We are definitely staying there again when in Athens. Value for money!

The bathroom was tiny. The shower tray is so small that if you are bigger than 5.3, you will struggle. The shower curtain sticks to you whilst you are trying to shower. Not enough shower gel. On 1st night, I had to request a refil and was given small 5ml bottles. 2 shower gels for 4 of us. The air condition wasn't working, so I had to open windows at night. Our room didn't get cleaned 1 day, and when i requested it to be done, even mentioning we will be back at a certain time, it still wasn't done. Not enough space for 4 people to put their clothes. Only 1 cupbard was given, which just had a shelf section and a hanging section. There is nowhere to hang towels.
Location was amazing to all main attractions. Very easily accessable. Really good plces to eat near by. Size of room was great.

The receptionist who greeted us was frightening. She was the most unwelcoming, unpleasant receptionist I have ever encountered. It is also noisy at night and a bit party central.
It is close to the Acropolis Museum. The rooms are clean , though small. The breakfasts are plentiful and cater to all tastes and the breakfast staff are lovely and helpful. Good for young travellers and those who love sport.

The location was great, within walking distance of Acropolis, the marketplace, and shopping. Breakfast was good, hot breakfast was available, staff was friendly and very welcoming. The rooms were clean and decent, however, the pictures of the room were not as advertised, the room was much smaller and not as updated/crispy white. We had a room with 3 bunk beds and 2 beds in the living area space that were like roll-away beds.

A group of teenagers was staying at the hotel at the same time, and on our floor. They had parties on the corridor, I informed the reception about the noises but nothing has been done. We stayed there for 4 nights, and it happened every night, even after 11:30 pm. That was a huge drawback.
The location was perfect, the room was clean. The breakfast was good enough.

Bathroom is small. Towels are a old/ overused. No wardrobe to organise clothes.
Location is great, staff is very helpful and friendly, breakfast is good. Better than we expected. Great for a short break.

Amazing location, a few minutes walk from the Acropolis Metro stop and the Acropolis. Very friendly staff and great that you can store your bags after checkout.

The rooms are quite small, but the facilities are adequate if you are only sleeping there.
Very close to the Acropolis and metro stations. The beds are very comfortable. The vibe is great and the free welcome "shooter" was appreciated!
