Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The surrounding area is a bit run down but it is absolutely safe. You don't need to worry at all.
Room was clean and the hotel is very close to the undergroud station. Breakfast is very good and more than enough.

Quite a lot of traffic noise.
All went well and the accommodation was as I had expected, location was fine, cleanliness was ok. Value for money and staff very helpful. The only thing negative is that there was a quite a lot of traffic noise even with double glazed windows but I guess to be expected from a city centre hotel.

the shower poured water into the bathroom, made bathroom very hard to use as it took all day to dry.

Too noisy. Too small. We had to switch rooms twice during our 3 nights staying. First time because the room is unbelievably small. We changed to a little bigger one. Then the window lock was broken and we had to move again. Nonetheless, it's extremely noisy. The motor roaring through the street at late night.
Location, staff. I came because the front desk staff helped me when I got lost a few days ago. I was staying at another hotel and decided to change to Chic. Breakfast is acceptable.

I really liked the kindness of the people who were at the reception. They were very friendly, I would also like to highlight the breakfast, it was very delicious. In general, we greatly appreciate the friendliness of the workers.

The breakfast didn't have gluten and dairy free options. The location is not very good, I was afraid to walk around at night. Also, it is very hard to sleep with the noise from the street all night long.

Bed was extremely soft, it was a very noisy room - noise came from the street, there is no wardrobe and no lobby place

There is a lack of light in the room and many switches that don't do anything..
The location is only a 5 minutes walk to the subway station and if you exit from the hotel and take left there is a street with full Indians and Muslim restaurants in cheap prices. Before I booked I read complaints about the noise but if you close the windows you don't hear anything. The staff was excellent, Maria and David instructed me where to go and how to arrive to places with a lot of patience. Breakfast was excellent and the room's shower was amazing! מומלץ בחום!

You have done as well as you can with the limited space you have
Nicholas and Costas were beyond expectation. They were extremely helpful to two senior women who were having a terrible experience in Greece. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate their kindness and compassion. I would stay anywhere either of these two worked. My sincere gratitude to them both

Noise from the street (totally understand that is not hotel's fault), also, one of the windows was not closing easily.
Nice hotel, totally worth the money I payed. Very friendly staff, they take the time to explain to tourists what to see, where to go, truly appreciated that. Special thanks to Nik for the support on arrival day. Clean, spacious room, working locker, fridge. Breakfast was also good. Location was very practical - it is few minutes of walk from Omonia metro station, really close.

We chose to stay here since it was one of the pick-up places for a short tour we took while in Greece. Unfortunately the area wasn't the greatest and we didn't feel that safe walking around, especially after dark. Not a lot of restaurants within walking distance.

The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was plentiful with eggs, yogurt etc. Staff was helpful and is at the desk 24 hrs. Also there is a refrigerator in the lobby where you can get drinks and charge them to your room.
