The room was a bit cold, when I asked to increase the temperature they informed me that they had closed the central heating because the week before my visit was really hot and that they couldn’t open it again. For a 4 star hotel i was expecting a bit better to be fair.

I have been staying at City hotel for many years when in Thessaloniki. The hotel is centrally located next to a lot of amenities. The people working there are all exceptionally polite and helpful. I was amazed by how nice the personnel were :). The rooms were really clean and comfortable. Lastly, since I was departing early in the morning, i didn’t have time to have breakfast. The staff offered me an option to get a breakfast in a package which was really a nice gesture.

At least for my room main problem was sound proofing. I could listen people in adjacent rooms bathing or coughing :) The fridge was also out of order but thats minor compared to sound proofing On breakfast area seats and tables are rather low (I am just 1,78 still they were low for me). Couches on breakfast area too soft; so you were ending in an even lower position for breakfast.

Everything was fine for a hotel of this standard.

The location is prime. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is plentiful and may satisfy most expectations. The room has a small balcony, which makes it very pleasant.

If I had something to complain about is that there's no ramp for the idiots like me that bought too much and had a heavy suitcase. You need to carry it up stairs and the staff aren't too quick to help. Otherwise nothing at all to complain, if I go back to Thess I'll definitely stay there again!

There wasn't anything that I didn't like as such, but it would have been useful to have a magnifying mirror in the bathroom. Also, if there was a stronger hairdryer on loan from the reception it woukd have been ideal.

The staff were friendly, quick to react and helpful. The interior arrangement of the room was practical. The breakfast was varied and fresh. The koulouri in particular was exceptional! My highlight was the spa at the premises. I highly recommend the deep tissue massage.

We slept well as our room did not face the street. We appreciated the extra blanket. The breakfast buffet was nice and loved that you offered made to order omelets and even offered to warm up leftovers from my dinner. Your reception staff recommended a great place to eat and the hotel is centrally located.

The hotel needs a bit of freshening as it is already dated. It is not suitable for tourists arriving by car as the temporary parking space in front of the hotel is very small and always occupied. You can’t stop even to unload your luggage as you will block the narrow busy street. No concierge service. If you order an espresso or cappuccino at breakfast you have to pay extra.

The single rooms are very small, there is almost no room to move, the bathroom is even worse, the door hits the shower cabinet, and it is difficult to get in the bathroom. Bad design. So, I suggest having a bigger room with street view/balcony.

Location is perfect, it's in the center and all restaurants and shops are close by. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is really great and open until 11, which is nice when travelling in the afternoon.

- They have no carpark actually. They have temporary space for 3 cars then offer contracted parking (20€/day) - Coffe is not included in breakfast. It's not a big deal but there should be at least one coffe free. - Beds were too soft.

The bathroom is way to small, the door opens inwards and honestly you have to squeeze to open the bathroom door. Beware of fully closing the bathroom doors, they get stuck 😄

Good size room. We stayed in double room with kettle, tea, good size wardrobe, one coffee table and study desk. Plenty of storage and if you want to relax you got a coffee table. The bed is very soft, but amazingly comfortable. The hotel has a seating area downstairs with outside seating as well. There is a bar downstairs as well. The bathroom was too small and the door opens inwards. Beware of locking the bathroom door, it gets stuck occasionally. Help arrived quickly though. There is a phone in the bathroom. The room was generally clean. The only thing I would say is those air con grills need cleaning. It looked quite dusty to be honest. We didn't put it on, as thankfully you can open the windows for fresh air. Breakfast was very good. Cereals, bread, cakes, eggs, mushrooms, nuts, cheese. I am not sure vegan options, I didn't check. The best is the location. We loved the location. It's so easy to get anywhere and it's a vibrant street with few restaurants. It's close to high street shops, museums, Ladadika, squares and the sea. Opposite there is a nice grocery shop, which is also very convenient. Our room was looking inwards, it was quite and cozy. Reception staff are very helpful. Will definitely stay here in our next visit because of the comfortable bed, great location and breakfast, but will book a bigger room.
