Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaNothing, a few of the back streets are a bit seedy ..its not the fault of the hotel owners. Just take care in the area.
Cosmos was great, good facilities, room cleaning everyday, change of towels. Handy location, to Larissa station and also the metro.30 minutes walk into the main sights. Some good restaurants close by and some in the back streets. Good staff ,very polite. Reasonable quietness at night and balcony for fresh air.

AustraliaThis is a very good budget hotel near the Metro, and also near the bus (#51)to the KTel Bus station for the bus to Kalamata. I loved the big balcony attached to my room. There are lots of eating options close by. I’ll be staying here again when I return from Kalamata.

United Arab EmiratesNot that I didn't like it, it didn't bother me at all, just an observation - outdated design and repair.
It's a perfect choice of a budget hotel for those active tourists who stay in the room to sleep, change and off to explore the city. Thr room is spacious, together with bathroom, there's a nice balcony, the view is just toward the opposite building, but you can get a fresh air and an idea about the weather outside. Everything was clean: the room, bathroom, halls, elevators, reception. Towels were changed daily (btw, towels were super white, nice and puffy). A/c, TV, hair dryer, sockets next to beds. In a word - it's a great stay with all expected facilities. Location is also convenient in terms of proximity to metro (2 min walk), train station (10 min walk - if you decide to take a train to other towns), small groceries, decent cafes for morning coffee.

TurkeyPersonnel is so helpful. The hotel is clean and not far away from the city center. There is a fifteen minutes walking gap between hotel and city center. The metro station is also very close, 2 minutes of walking. Of course the quality was not ultra luxury, but i guarantee you that you will not have any problem while staying. You can select this hotel without second opinion.

GermanyThe Wifi in our room is unfortunately not as expected, the signal is weak, connecting intermittently.
Very friendly staff, available 24 hr. Good location, not far away from the metro station, a 24-hour supermarket is available on the opposite corner. Every Wednesday there will be a local market on the street nearby, with fresh fruit and kebab... very good price.

United StatesThere are some homeless living near the hotel and reportedly drug use, though I didn't see any drug use. I felt safe there in the vicinity of the hotel. It would have been nice if there were screens on the windows, because there were a lot of mosquitos in the evening when I opened the windows. But, it seems most places don't have screens on the windows in Athens.
The location is super convenient to the Metaxourgio Metro, and a nice bakery on the Metaxourgio plaza. There are some homeless living near the hotel and reportedly drug use, though I didn't see any drug use. I felt safe there in the vicinity of the hotel. The room is comfortable and the staff is good. There is a great farmer's market on Wednesdays on the same street as the hotel, beginning just a 30 second walk away! I loved the farmer's market! The internet is good and the air conditioning is good. I will stay there again for the affordability and proximity to the Metro and the farmer's market.

GermanyYou shouldn't be squeamish about staying in a hotel in this region. If you know Frankfurt Central Station, you'll be fine 🙃
The central location is good, with a market with fresh produce and shopping facilities nearby. Another advantage is that you have to leave the key at the 24-hour reception when you leave the hotel to avoid losing it. The staff check your personal details on arrival.

IrelandIt is what it is. €45 a night. Room was spotlessly clean. Good shower, small balcony to have a smoke. 100 metres to metro. 24 hr attended reception. Bed was comfortable. No bar or dining room but close to alternatives. Perfect for solo traveller, not if you are trying to impress if travelling as a couple. Day pass for metro/tram/ busses is €4.40, really good if you buy some things and want to head back for an hour to unload. Will stay there again.
All the staff were professional and really friendly and helpful.
