Nothing, it was perfect for us

We had a large bungalow, two bathrooms, separate living area, just a few metres from the pool, 50/60 metres from the beach. It was fantastic. The location is great, walkable into Elounda and a short bus/taxi/drive into Agios Nikolaos. Wonderful staff, very clean hotel with a beautiful beach area. Quiet location, nice restaurant and a lovely beach bar for a late night cocktail. We knew it would be good, it was better than expected

Dinner - food was buffet style - too busy. Smaller restaurants were very good but could be expensive.

Room was very quiet - air conditioning worked well - outside space a bonus. Good pools and beach. Excellent buggy service to take you to other facilities within hotel.

Beautiful private beaches and lovely bay to swim in. Several nice pools for adults. Restaurants all very good quality and subsidised if you prefer over buffet. Or 10min walk to talk if you want to escape. Lovely staff

Elounda bay has got the perfect balance of natural beauty which has been elegantly enhanced and meticulously maintained. It’s perfectly located within a walking distance to the village. The beaches and swimming pools are clean, intimate yet never overcrowded. The quality of food is excellent and varied. EB has many things to be proud of but ultimately what made it an exceptional holiday for us was its staff. From the moment we stepped in to the hotel we were surrounded by the most amazing members of staff. A couple of well deserved mentions are Anna Maria’s warm welcome to Angeliki’s unwavering friendliness and attentiveness at breakfast and dinner which we looked forward to every day. . We were equally blown away by the maturity and high level of service provided to us every day by the beach by Nikos, a young man who made sure everyone was happy and taken care of at the beach. Also a big thank you to all the gardening staff who keep such beautifully manicured grounds with sweet scents of jasmine. We can’t thank you all enough for helping us leave Crete with the most unforgettable memories.

Nothing at all. Everything was perfect

This resort exceeded all expectations. Enormous thought and planning has clearly been put into the design and facilities as it catered for all needs. The breakfast and dinner was over the top in terms of choice, quality and amount of food. The private beaches were superb and there was also a huge pool. More than enough beach lounges for everyone. It’s only a short walk into the really pretty town full of shops. We cannot recommend this highly enough.

You can see that the complex Elounda bay dates from 1970...but really..it doesn't bother at all. Really nothing negative... Everything was beyond perfect

Really friendly staff, from the reception to the beach staff, the restaurants, the snack bar, the cleaning staff. Perfect!!! Special thanks to the guest relations manager Yannis!!! The food in the main restaurant...amazing...breakfast and dinner buffet...just exceptional. Beach was 10+++, the sea...amazing. The pools were clean... perfection. We will be coming back!!!! Best vacation so far (family, 2 kids)

The only minor thing that we noticed on the negative side were the high prices of the restaurants/bars of the hotel. E.g. for 2 coffees and 1 bottle of water we paid €18 at the pool bar. Knowing this, you can plan ahead.

The hotel was amazing, the staff were polite and friendly, the facilities were plenty and very satisfactory. We got an upgrade to our standard room which was very much appreciated since we were given a very big room with huge bathroom and very big veranda overlooking the pool and the Bay. Our toodler had the chance to freely move around the room and play. The pools were excellent and the kids pool was amazing! Our kid loved the water snake and the slides very much!! The kids club is an excellent alternative for some hours in the heat of the summer. The buffet dinner at the restaurant had a huge variety with quality choices every night and although the hotel seemed pretty busy, yet it was so quiet and everything was in order.

The rooms are big and clean but you can feel they are a bit old. Old electricity plugs, old equipments in the bathroom. The option to get breakfast and diners included is OK but be careful with the extras. Prices are too high. Charging 5 euros for a bottle of still water is way too much...

The resort is made of 2 hotels which are both great. Nice place, nice environment and many activities.

Excellent hotel with great staff and marvelous location! They even upgraded us to a larger room so they could offer us the best experience since we traveled with our dog! Loved everything about it! Excellent food and wide selection of restaurants! The buffet was top.

- soft-boiled eggs need to be cooked a little longer;) - outdoor swimming pool could be opened earlier. Some people would like to swim before breakfast, not after. During the day people prefer swimming in the sea. Pool is necessary for keeping the body fit, before eating. - drinks in the beach bar could be better for the price

Marvelous beaches, perfect food. Free sport activities. Staff is very friendly (dining room staff is lovely). Chose direct sea view. Side sea view is too "side".

The main building is in need of an upgrade. Carpet in hallways is smelly and bubbled with wallpaper old. No complimentary water daily like many other 5 and less star hotels in Crete and drinks are at a high premium. Our room didn’t have an overhead shower hook so you had to hold the shower hose at all times to shower. Not a dealbreaker, but never seen that set up before.

Staff are so friendly and helpful. Service is exceptional. You cannot get a better buffet breakfast and dinner selection. Food is phenomenal. Beaches are clean, lots of sun beds available and there’s so many activities to choose from.

As I’m vegan, I would suggest to add more options to menus. Especially the main restaurant. Generally I would like to see more variety at the buffet but we also understand that the hotel wants the guests to use other restaurants to eat in (outside of half board).

The location of the hotel is great - it’s in the bay, the beach is beautiful and it’s a peaceful area. If you’d like to get away from noise - this is the right place. Pool area is great as kids can enjoy the small children pool and parents can chill nearby. Lifeguard was always present. There are two playgrounds for kids on the territory - quite handy. We were very pleased by the staff of the hotel. Everyone extremely friendly, hardworking and helpful. Guest relations team was very helpful with special requests and acted quickly; especially Anne Marie, thank you. F&B staff were amazing , showed great service. Thanks to Nicolette and Eleni from the main restaurant for taking care of us for 6 days. We are very happy with our stay - it’s a great hotel to stay with family or just as a couple (we stayed with our 3 yo daughter). The hotel is quite green - plenty of shade on hot days.

room key cards stopped working twice which required multiple trips to reception to sort out. restaurant staff over-attentive at times eg rushing over if they saw us starting to pour our drinks. strange system for beach towels of keeping them in rooms and house keepers coming round at random times ( eg 10 pm, 9.30 am, midday) to change.

very helpful staff, no problem checking in and getting our room at noon. nice hotel beaches. short walk into Elounda town. bus stop close to hotel. excellent choice of food at breakfast and dinner.

Nothing really. If I had to say one thing I agree with others that sound can travel through the walls at times in the main buildings .

My daughter and I spent a week at the hotel and absolutely loved it! I can’t say enough about the staff!! Above and beyond from the first to the last person. This hotel doesn’t have a central restaurant, rather a number of small restaurants on the premises. we tried the 3 that were open ( the hotel had just opened) and we were blown away!! The food was so good in every one, from Sushi to Traditional Greek.. The beach is soft golden sand, the sea transparent Turquoise ( a bit nippy in April) and the beds super comfortable! We will definitely be returning, as were half of the other guests there. This is a hidden gem and great value for money!

We’ve booked the Elounda Bay and were offered a suite at the Elounda Beach, which apparently it’s more luxurious (our first time). Very good hotel, ok facilities given the out of season period, but the highlight of it all is definitely the staff, who without being cheesy, are very polite, effective, hands on and there to help! Even in eventful situations! We have really enjoyed our stay!

Really nothing.

This is a top notch facility. The staff goes way above and beyond. They switched our room with no hesitation when my father needed a more accessible shower. They graciously arranged all our requests. The location is lovely. The breakfast is outstanding and dinner very good. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
