The road at the front was a bit close and hazardous, with no pavement. We had a nice terrace but the upstairs balcony could only be reached by clambering through a window. The bed was very comfortable but our sofa wasn't really useable as a second bed.

A small, friendly, family-run place. The owners are very nice people, and were always available to serve us drinks and food. The pool was smaller than we had expected but the upstairs tub provided an alternative place to cool down and a great sea-view.

For the rooms on a ground floor there's no privacy at all. The building designed the way that the pass to the exit comes along the area in front of your door. So everyone who live in the next to you rooms will be passing by while you are eating or reading outside. Also you can hear everyone around.

It's a great option if you want to combine beach holiday with sightseeing around the island. A beautiful Perivolos beach is just around the corner and the bust stop is also some 200m away. The hotel is in a traditional greek style, looks very nice and well maintained. Julia and her family are the perfect hoteliers, very welcoming and attentive to the needs of their guests. The food at the hotel is excellent, much better than in many places where I eat around Santorini. It's a bit tricky for me to evaluate the rooms. I lived on a ground floor in a studio for 2 people. The room was tiny, dark and a bit worn out. It reminded me of a hostel rather than a hotel. However, I had a chance to see a room on the upper floor - this is an absolutely different story - bright, spacious, with a sea view. So my recommendation will be to book the upper floor so that the hotel will fully meet your expectations. I guess all the exceptional reviews were from the guests who stayed in those rooms.

We had a couple of issues with drainage but these were solved as quickly as possible by the owners.

The water is non drinkable (which we expected), but salty too (which we didn't expect) - brushing your teeth with it is not pleasent. The apartment we had was a bit small for a familiy of 4, in two storeys with a narrow staircase in between.The view from the terrace is nit really something you want to wake up to. The kitchen corner is rather tiny, the utensils limited and a bit dated. All in all, it's ok for a few days, but wouldn't do it for a whole week.

This is common throughout Greece, but there’s always a septic smell, no matter where we were staying…

I liked the 50s Kitch style and the fact that it is family owned with a saltwater plunge pool- they take good care of the place and are super friendly. The location is a short walk to a strip of beach that is excellent, making this a good value. This is not a luxury location, but it is clean and a good place to sleep at night

The water is salty which makes your skin and hair a little bit sticky.

The beach is walkable. The location is so serene and less people. And the price is affordable along with a good local cuisine. Julia is such a great cook and a host to include her family. I highly recommend this place if you seek a quite and affordable vacation in Santorini. It cost us 40 euro to get to the hotel but it is still worth the price. I will surely stay in this hotel on my third visit to this island.

2 bedroom apartment was misleading. Too small for an older family

The room was very small, the bathroom was the smallest part of it. the sink was broken: the sink column fell to the floor. The shower did not have a shower attachment (we had to attach it to the window) the refrigerator was dirty and the dishes were not clean: the food residues of the previous residents were still there. Lastly, Mrs. Julia had promised to take us to the airport in the morning for free and instead, even if little, she got paid. very nice instead the gentleman who took us to the airport with whom we found ourselves very well.
