The downstairs room had a sewer-like smell, and the hot water in the shower was not hot.

The upstairs apartment was lovely, and had a balcony for sea view. We were upgraded to the apartment on our second day which was very nice.

The staff could not do enough for us to make us feel welcomed. Thank you. The location is the absolute selling point....1 minute until you are on the beach then you have the little shops and restaurants minutes away plus you are in comfortable walking distance to the Old Town of Hania.

Clean to every corner and all the dishes equipped to our room, 30 seconds to get the beautiful beach with beds and parasols, the lady at the front desk and also a housekeeper lady were kind and trying to be as helpful as possible. We asked in advance that we want to have a corner room facing the beach, and we got exactly the same room we imagined!! You only need to walk to the nearest mini supermarket for about 5 minutes, the coziest cute nice Mediterranean restaurant is also 1 minute away, and you can get to the city central by foot approximately 20 minutes. Perfect location, good people, good foods, polite stray cats, and beautiful sunsets and beaches. If we ever visit chania again, this the place we sure stay!

Overall we had an amazing stay! The place was super clean, cleaned daily and the staff was super friendly and extremely accomodating. The apartment is super close to the beach as well as multiple supermarkets and bakeries. I loved that you can walk directly across the pier to the centre as well it was overall a really great stay - I would definitely come again and would definitely recommend!

The only thing we would recommend is putting a bug net on the windows and the door to the backyard, as there were mosquitoes flying in.

Maria Apartments was at an excellent location, with great and friendly staff and a comfortable and clean room. The little backyard was a great addition to the room. We really enjoyed our stay here and it exceeded our expectations.

Excellent stay in a side sea studio. Location is great: a few steps away from the beach, close to a grocery shop, a bakery and a pharmacy, and within a nice short walk from the Old town. Staff, including the manager and owner, is extremely friendly, kind, responsive and resourceful: not a single ask was too much. Great help provided with local tips, taxi and excursion bookings. Impeccable standards of order, cleanliness of the whole property and the guest room, and the overall service. Not a single thing to complain about. The room was well equipped, spacious, bright, cosy and modern, attention to detail visible everywhere. Comfortable bed with very comfortable mattress and pillows. Great balcony with comfy outdoor chairs, you could hear the waves at night. The kitchen is well equipped with a nice set of all the main utensils, nothing missing if you are to prepare a homemade dish. Didn't use the internet too much but it seemed to be greatly working. Cleaning service every day (proper cleaning, really impressed), bed linen and towels changed every two days. All has contributed to an unforgettable vacation experience. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Excellent location. Right next to the beach and an easy walk (15 mins) to the Old Town and harbour area. Very clean and the staff were just lovely. Little supermarket and fabulous ice cream place within a few minutes from the apartments. Would definitely recommend!

The place is very well organized for check-ins and check-outs. They cleaned our room every single day. We had a backyard garden for our room, it was adorable! The staff is very friendly and the place is well situated to the beach, groceries, pharmacies, etc.

It was not possible to get in contact with the host on the telephone numbers we received at arrival, no one answered and there was no information in english. There was no information about opening hours of the reception.

Everything was fine from start to finish. Rania was a joy to deal with. The apartment was very comfortable with a wonderfully huge bed. Right by the beach and a good choice of restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. Charming Old Chania was a little further, but who doesn't like an easy coastal stroll? Parking was easy on the surrounding streets. Would happily return.
