Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandThe place is absolutely magical. It is run by an adorable and very helpful family who made us feel really at home. The interior design is phenomenal and charming. The hotel is located in the immediate vicinity of 5 beaches, both larger and smaller, more intimate ones. Personally, I recommend Yannis beach, where we spent a lot of time and regardless of the time of day, you could grab a sun lounger. The breakfasts were very good, with a possibility to choose from and even to adjust to your own, minor preferences. In the evenings, the hotel offers a poolside bar. There is a great greek restaurant across the street and getting to the center of Chania takes less than 20 minutes by bus, which stops right next to the hotel. The area is quiet and will certainly appeal to everyone who wants a break from the hustle and bustle of tourists. There is Lidl and several smaller shops with beach supplies nearby. We will definitely come back and thank you for the wonderful stay and care.

BelgiumThe hotel is very nice, very clean in an excellent location. The family that owns the hotel is very friendly. It is well deserved by the Chania bus every 15 or 20 minutes. There are 2 supermarkets at a short distance. This will be our favorite destination when we come to Crete.

FinlandRoom and facilities therein felt a bit worn out, but mostly functional though. Very small bathroom. Wifi or internet service wasn't working most of the time.
Staff was super helpful and friendly - I can see why some guests seemed to come again and again. Tasty breakfast was always prepared for you as you wished, and enjoyed outside. Great location within walking distance from four beaches and 15 min bus ride to Chania. Two nice restaurants just across the street.

IrelandThe hotel was brilliant would highly recommend staying here when visiting Chania. Gina, Maria, Harris and all the staff at Sun City are so nice and welcoming - we were travelling with 2 young children and they went out of their way to help us. They’ve a big swimming pool and also a pool side bar which serve good food and even better cocktails. Hotel is right beside loads of restaurants and a short walk to the beach. It’s a great spot - it’s a 10/10 from us!

PolandVery nice and pleasant beach for the family with kids
The room was small but big enough for our 4 people family ;) It was cleaning almost every day and has nice balcony where we can spend some nice time eating or talking durring the night time. Very nice pool with nice bar where you van buy snacks or drinks. A lot of green and flawers around the pool, which makes the stays even more comfortable and relaxing. Parking spaces available for guests with a car. Very close to lovely beaches, lidl and some markets 2 minutes away, close to city centre of Chania ( 12-15min by bus, which stops on the same street where the hotel is). The atmosphire and the owners were great. I recommend this place, we had the great time :)))

Very helpful and nice Staff . The room is large and includes a small kitchen to prepare your breakfast. Free parking just in front . Pool with bar service. The beach is 500m away and very good..

IrelandNot a lot. The shower in my room was fine for me but might be a bit tight in size for a large man.
This is a family run hotel. The family make you feel really welcome. Each room has a kitchenette which is very handy. Most rooms have a very generous size balcony. Good Greek food at the hotel, but also a number of restaurants close by

SloveniaWe were on first floor where the WiFi connection wasn’t stable and only worked some of the time.
We really enjoyed staying at Sun City. The family running the hotel are really lovely and made us feel very welcomed. The room we stayed in was a bit small but that didn’t bother us at all as it was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The hotel has a great location as it is very close to restaurants, bus stop, two big supermarkets, car rentals and also nice sandy beaches.

LithuaniaBeaches next to hotel (10min walk) are overcrowded. Water warm, but so not deep, that those beaches are nice just for babies. About waves even do not dream. Sand nice. Sunbed 10eur, but if you come in midday - it is to late. Rooms are old fashion, you feel like visiting grand grand mothers home :) . Children liked it so much! But that is not bad, juts different. Wifi was not perfect.
This is family hotel, so staff was extremly nice and friendly. Next door there are few tavernas, lidl. Parking free. Nice swiming pool. Huge balcony. This place is very clean. In reality it is much nicer when in pictures. Recommended.

United KingdomA quaint building of apartments (Although located about a 15 minute drive from the center of Chania. It's near beautiful beaches and the staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. There are lots of familys/children and it felt incredibly safe... almost a home away from home when we'd return on an evening. There is a pool bar which is open aaalllllll day which serves drinks/snacks and tasty breakfasts. It's directly opposite the bus stop to the town which only costs 2 euros and is very quick/regular. There are 2 supermarkets 1 min walk from the apartments. I have to admit when we booked I saw the supermarkets and thought 'oh dear... must be a bit of an odd location...' but its 100% not. The views from our room looked out onto the mountains and a small wooded area which actually had a pair of eagles there a couple of the mornings!!! The 'strip' is a couple of minutes walk up the road - but its more a collection of nice tavernas and cafes than a busy set of bars. Theres also a couple of nice places to eat directly opposite including a pizza restaurant that can do takeaways if you need a chill evening.
