Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

United States of AmericaOur stay here was beyond our expectations! The host were so freindly and helpful, giving us restaurant reccomendations, helping us with our luggage and even helped us secure ferry tickets. The house is beautifully done and fit our family well. The place was so clean and fully stocked with everything you could need. The views were mazing from every part of the house. The beach is just steps away and our kids loved snorkeling and swimming in the crystal clear waters. We loved everything about our stay here!!! Thank You for your hospitality and for the wonderful stay!!!

United KingdomThe location of villa Renata was absolutely amazing. The beach was practically your own, and we loved taking the paddle boards out and exploring the coastline. The layout of the house meant you had the most spectacular views from wherever you were, and there was always a sunny or shady spot to enjoy. The villa itself was clean and comfortable with everything you could need. We wanted to say a huge thankyou to our hosts Ireana and Fillipos who were so lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful during our stay. Our daughter needed to go to the hospital one day and they went out of their way to make sure we were ok and looked after. This villa is pretty special and I think it would be hard to find something better. Highly recommend!!!

United KingdomThe location is amazing. The beach / sea is essentially yours to enjoy. The villa itself is well equipped and was perfect for our trip. We hired a car for the week yet we soon realised we had everything to enjoy ourselves at the villa. There was a kayak/paddle board provided for both villas which we could take for a little excursion up the coast. Agios Gordios was 30min walk away on the beach and had some great bars/restaurants, more "buzzy" than we expected. You also get a fantastic sunset from there. We were aware there could be a steep walk from the road at the top down (and it was!) but you soon get used to this. Irena/filipos helped to bring down our luggage which magically appeared at the villa! We had a minor maintainance issue with the AC but Irena/Fillipos sorted it same day so quickly. They are lovely owners and clearly take pride in keeping the villas to a high standard, making sure you have everything you need.

United KingdomI actually liked the place and the house is a very good value-for-money, so just some minor suggestions: a hair dryer would be great - that was one thing missing. There was no hoover, but it was quickly delivered when I requested it. There's no dish washer, but wasn't a big problem for us.
Location. The location is amazing, if slightly remote, on the west coast of Corfu, above what's effectively a semi-private beach, which is never too crowded. Seaview to die for - miles of blue from all your windows - it's worth coming just for that, and you won't get such a view very often. The house is 2.5km away from the main road, and about a third of these 2.5km is a dirt road, but wasn't an issue and in return you can escape the crowd. From the parking space you have to walk 200m down to reach the house, but the hosts helped us with the bags, so again, wasn't a problem at all. Hosts. The hosts are super friendly, available and very helpful - they are nice warm people, greeted us with a bottle of wine and fresh fruits and were flexible with checkout time since they didn't have guests right after us. Facilities. Everything about the house was as expected: the house was nicely clean, bedlinen was white, there's enough towels, they provide beach towels, the kitchen has nice china, pots, pans, a filter coffee machine, a toaster; there's an aircon and mosquito nets. The living area is quite small, but easily compensated by the outside space (balcony, and two terraces) where you'd be spending time in warm weather.

United KingdomThe villa was beautiful, with outstanding views. From the start the hosts were very accommodating. A very nice fruit bowl, croissants, coffee and wine met us on arrival. We met them at a location and followed them down the road to the villa. We chose a small car, but a small 4x4 would be advisable as you could park slightly closer to the villa. The walk up and down from the car to the villa is steep but manageable. The walk across the beach to Adios Gordios was lovely. Very rocky but again more than manageable. We would recommend Ark restaurant on the beach. We had a slight issue with the hot water but it was dealt with straight away, no complaints. The villa is very well equipped and maintained. We would 100% recommend. The hosts could not be nicer. They communicate very well and efficiently.

United KingdomThank you so much to Irena and Filippos for an incredible stay. The villa is absolutely beautiful. The decor, cleanliness, the pool, the view, everything was perfect! It is so peaceful and quiet, it is just heaven. The beach (which is pretty much a private beach) is just a couple of minutes walk and was lovely for swimming and paddle boarding. The local town is only 5 mins away too by car with so many gorgeous bars and restaurants. Irena and Filippos were the perfect hosts. So helpful whenever we needed anything and always went above and beyond to make our holiday so special. We cannot wait to come back. Thank you x

United KingdomAs per other comments the hill to the property is super steep. You leave the car up the road so each morning you get a good work out climbing to the car. It was daunting on the first day but you do get used to it and it is very good exercise. The family also kindly help you with your bags up and down the hill when you arrive and depart. The second bedroom is quite small for big teenagers but perfectly great for smaller children.
We stayed in Villa Filippos. The position in front of a quiet beach and sea views are phenomenal. Having a beach so close is great and they leave boards and a kayak to use. If you walk to the left the beach is sandy. Property is clean and modern and well maintained. A friendly family own the Villa and we were lucky enough to be there during a festival and they shared some roasted lamb which was delicious. We had a great week here.

The location of Villa Renata and the view from the three terraces and the bedrooms is extraordinary. The house is tastefully furnished und each room is equiped with a fan. Irina and her husband are fantastic hosts, assisting us with our luggage during arrival and departure and were always available for any kind of question and assistence.

United KingdomA kettle and another suacepan would have been helpful but not essential.
We stayed in Villa Renata with stunning views over the sea. The villa was very well equipped and comfortable, has superb hosts in Irene and Philip and their daughter Nia. We were welcomed and our luggage taken to the property. Access to the property is down a very steep path so may not be suitable for anyone who is not good on their legs, but the effort is worth it. The Villa has two well appointed bedrooms with comfortable beds which is accessed via a spiral staircase, but the views from the panaromic wndows are excellent. Downstairs plenty of room, heating for the colder nights and a wealth of terracing to lie and enjoy the sun.

United States of AmericaThe access is really, really bad. The road to the property is only partly paved, very rough and bumpy, narrow, and I'd say dangerous in spots. The path from the road end to the villa is even worse: very rough and very steep, and it could be a real problem for the people who have difficulty ascending or descending steep slopes or having problems with their joints. Some steps should be installed, at least in the steepest parts, and a handrail to hold on to as well.
A gorgeous location. The villa is modern and spacious.

GermanyYes, you can believe all the other incredible reviews you find for this property. It is as magical as people say, and more! Irena and Philippos are incredibly welcoming, warm and caring hosts and made us feel right at home. They've truly created a jewel here and at the end of our one week stay we wished we could stay many weeks longer. We stayed in Villa Philippos, a beautiful small house with a view of the ocean that is hard to beat. A small path leads down to the beach, which is rocky at first but after a few meters you'll find your own (almost) private natural sand beach. The accommodation has everything you need, from the usual amenities to great extras such as an outdoor shower for when you come back from the beach, a great barbecue place and the absolutely gorgeous terrace that left us speechless when we arrived. And while you do have to be a confident driver up to the parking lot, and stable on your feet going down the quite steep hill to reach the house, the journey is absolutely worth it every time! Thank you Irena and Philippos for having us!

RomaniaBe aware that the road to the villa is steep and narrow. You need a 4X4 car and some courage to go down and up with the car, but there is a private parking up where you can leave it. Filipos will help you with the luggages at arrival and at depart. We drove the car down to leave the luggages when we arrived and to put them in the car before leaving, but we didn't dare to drive it also up the road, so Filipos helped us driving the car up both times :)
The view from the villa was beautiful and listening to the waves all the time was very relaxing :) The villa is equiped with everything you might need, the teracies provides shadow so that you can eat or drink outside. All the rooms are equiped with mosquitoes nets and I really appreciated this detail! There is a little beach near the villa where you can stay and swim in privacy. Agios Gordios is a small and lovely village, with many taverns serving good food and a few stores where you find anything you need.

United KingdomI would like to try and write as balanced a review as I possibly can because while I understand that negative reviews can impact the hosts’ livelihood, I feel a responsibility for informing future guests of the reality of the situation. In my opinion, these villas are completely unsuitable for children and older people and have significant drawbacks for all guests. We booked both villas Renata and Fillipos in July this year and went with four children (aged 8 to 15) and my parents (in their early 70s). Irena and her partner Fillipos were initially completely lovely. As other reviews have mentioned, they helped us down the path with our luggage and a big food shop we did later the first day. It was lucky they did as it would have been very difficult to do it by ourselves. They remained lovely until we had an issue and then things changed. First, the plus points: It is right that the view from the villas is very nice. Fillipos is much better appointed than Renata. It’s modern, comfortable, the plunge pool is a bit bigger and the barbecue does work very nicely. Renata is a little bit more tired, but certainly adequate in terms of accommodation. The view from the bedrooms in Renata is certainly a good one. I could see that Irena and Fillipos had worked hard to make sure all the bits and pieces were available. They had put a bottle of wine and some water in the fridge and some lovely peaches in a bowl for us. The cooking facilities were adequate, but it’s hard to cook properly in the space provided. It might have been harder for us as I was cooking for 8. The real issue for us was the access. First of all the track/road from the main road to the parking spot is around 2 km long and it’s only paved for a short part of that. Much of it is a pretty uneven dirt track with a sheer drop on one side and limited passing places. The whole route needs to be done in 1st gear. The part of this road which adjoins the main road is extremely steep for about 30 m.

GermanyThe location of the property was a bit difficult to figure out. It is to be noted that you must have a vehicle in order to stay at this place
The location and staff were absolutely great. Irena was one of the best host a person could find. She was very helpful and was up there to help us whenever we needed it. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.
