Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyGreat and peaceful place to stay in Copan. The owner was really friendly and helpful and made my stay very enjoyable. I loved the hammock and the view over the city into the hills. From the city center it is a short walk uphill, but easily feasible. I would definitely come back.

United StatesHighly recommend this hotel for solo or couples! The hotel is located very close to the downtown center/park. It has a great view of the mountains, a peaceful atmosphere and the best owners/staff. We were able to enjoy breakfast, an evening drink and they were able to answer any questions that we had. There's a really nice bar area, hammocks all around, balcony views, wifi, hot water (which is unheard of in Honduras) but one should get to know that before complaining.

United StatesThe cold shower took some getting used to.
The customer service was impeccable. My hosts were kind and extremely accommodating. Fan and AC in room . Room was spacious . The hotel matched the aesthetic of the city with its cobblestone streets, hills, and Mountain views.

United StatesThe bunk mattresses were not specifically comfortable and the walk from central park could be difficult for someone less fit or of an older age. Tuk tuks are available.
The location had amazing views of the Honduran mountains, staff was polite and helpful and the spaces were kept very clean.

CanadaIt's a family owned hotel and stepping in the lobby can feel like stepping into their house. I had no problem with it since they were lovely hosts but some people might not like that.
The climb up the hill is worth it once you see the view from the balcony.

United KingdomWe had an adjoining bathroom to the next room (although I don't think anyone was staying there) it was difficult to know whether you were locking the door as the handle spun. One of the bunk beds was really comfortable but the top one wasn't and felt like the springs had gone. You have to pay 100 to use the shared kitchen, I have never come across this type of charge when traveling. This was a surprise to us and meant it was cheaper to eat out. We mainly booked this accommodation as we wanted a kitchen. This should be changed on booking.com to say that there is a cost.
Lovely property at the top of the hill, with great views from the balcony and hammocks to chill in. Really great value for money and in a good location just a short walk to the town. (It is at the top of a hill though so get ready to feel the burn in your legs). We booked a dorm but it was just two bunk beds in a room so we essentially had a private room, which was great. The owners are really friendly and make you feel welcome.

United StatesThe room itself was a basic economy room and a bit small and tight. We had a bit of an ant problem in the bathroom on the counter. For one or two nights it is a fine choice especially for the price and location, but I wouldn't stay longer.
This property was very well located in Copan, just a few minutes away from the Copa Ruins and Macaw Mountain. Hosts were nice. It's uphill so just note if you're walking to dinner or even driving, note it's steep.

AustraliaLocation is not the best. It is close to everything, but it is high up a hill, going there with all the bags in the heat is not fun. Also beware, that main entrance is closed at night and in the early morning. Exit through a garage door (on the top floor), or you can miss the bus while waiting for owners to wake up.
Authentic stay, loved the paintings. Good value for money.

Good price Usage of kitchen possible A little bit outside, so more quiet Comfortable
