Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Not that we didn’t like it but..there’s lots of steps which are everywhere you go within the old town!
The apartment was absolutely stunning! We booked the downstairs apartment & on arrival the owner very kindly gave us the one bedroom apartment upstairs which was beautiful with amazing views. The location was perfect & nice & quiet.

There are so many stairs to access the rooms, but thats to be expected anywhere in old town. The bathroom was very tigh

Lack of space in room if you came with few bigger suitcases. No options for store luggage service at apt before check in or check out .
The location is great! When you enter through Buza gate this apartment is just few steps away. So quiet and peacfull place, but very close to the Main Street and to excellent restaurants and bars. Room is highly decorated and functional in this 13th century building.

The bed was not comfortable and very noisy.
Overal a very correct price for the services. A charming place on a good location in Dubrovnik. Still in the historical center but because it's at the high end of one of the narrow streets its has the advantage of being quiet.

The double bed was very creaky, simply turning over was noisy.
I loved the style of the apartment, sympathetically designed to suit the Old Town. great location, good layout for a family of four. excellent cleanliness.

The hosts were extremely helpful and very sweet. The lady greeted me and gave me a little run down of Old Town / Croatia as well as some background history. It was perfect for one person and was close to everything in Old Town. Lots of stairs getting up and down but I didn’t mind it. Great exercise for the day ;)

Cleanliness could have been a little better in the bathroom but overall the 9/10 says it all 😊
Lovely little place 😊 Brilliant location very close to the heart of Dubrovnik Old Town. A few stairs to get to it but shouldn't be an issue for most people. Nikola was great at keeping in touch and giving us directions to get to the place and Never gave us a great introduction to Dubrovnik and it's history. Overall a very enjoyable stay 😁

Very clean and tidy room with lovely stone interior in a fantastic location for accessing all of the Old Town. Incredibly friendly and helpful hosts who gave me lots of great recommendations for my stay and even helped me out with shuttle bus location and times to the airport :)

Great location in Old Town! A few steps away from cafes, restaurants and the bustle of the city, but still quiet enough. The rooms are equipped with everything you many need for your stay - kitchen essentials, an iron, towels, city guides, and basic hygiene items. The apartment is very nicely decorated and comfortable.

This is a quaint, immaculately clean and well appointed apartment in old town (stari grad). The apartment can be easily accessed on foot (~6 minute walk) from the city bus stop at stari grad front (pile) gate. This place is perfect for light packing travellers who don't mind walking stairs, common within this old city.
