Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

FinlandThe location is quite a bit uphill and there's tons of steps to get down or up from old town. So while the views are amazing (if you get a sea view balcony), people with mobility issues might have a hard time walking around. You can use a taxi of course.
The man who runs the place, Milo, is such a great guy you instantly feel like home. Solid breakfast, complimentary beer, tips and advice on what to do and where to go. Fixing small issues like my plane landing in Kosovo due to bad weather... no problems :D The rooms were cleaned daily and overall the place and the pool was very nice and clean. Such a great place I strongly recommend it!

Villa Klaic Our recent stay at Villa Kalic was an absolute dream! From start to finish, everything about this experience exceeded our expectations, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. One of the highlights of our trip was the outstanding hospitality provided by the Milo and Michael at Villa Kalic. From the warm welcome (with cold refreshments) upon our arrival, to the delicious breakfast throughout our stay, the team went above and beyond to make us feel like VIP guests. Their attention to detail and genuine care for our well-being truly made a difference in our experience. The room was clean, quiet and spacious. Milo even filled our fridge daily with our favourite drinks. The private pool and terrace area were a haven of relaxation. We spent many afternoons basking in the sun and taking refreshing dips in the pool. It was the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the charming streets of Dubrovnik. Furthermore, the location of Villa Kalic was ideal for exploring. With the Old Town and its historic attractions just a short walk down hill, we were able to immerse ourselves in the city's rich culture and history effortlessly. For stunning views of the city, I would highly recommend taking the path up to the top of the hill, just behind the villa. If you are looking for a charm and exceptional hospitality then look no further. Villa Kalic will exceed your every expectation. Thank you to the Milo and your wonderful team for making our stay truly exceptional! We cannot wait to return.

United KingdomNothing we didn’t like. Personal preference however would be the ability to have breakfast a little later than 9, but only our opinion
Lovely welcome from Milo and family (including Matthew 😀) Plenty of useful advice given to help us during our trip. Whole Villa was beautifully clean and superbly presented. Bit of a trek (down), but well worth the walk to visit the old town. Especially enjoyed the gardens surrounding Villa 😍 🏴🏴

United Kingdomnothing! the steps down into the old city were a big of a challenge in the hot weather but we got used to them and helped shift some of good living we had on our holiday
Villa klaic had the most fantastic host in Milo, the most welcoming friendly, informative and full of life owner that we have ever stayed with. The accommodation was really lovely we booked a room with a balcony for 4 nights which had an amazing view of the sea and gardens below. The whole place was clean and we had a great buffet breakfast available every morning. The room was stocked daily with toiletries, coffee pods and beers in the fridge. Finally there was small pool and area to chill out in and patio area with shade which was very welcome following a hot day in the amazing city of Dubrovnik. In terms of location it’s peaceful - away from the busy city which is a 15 minute walk down a number of steps. We used an Uber every evening which was anything from €4.50 - €5 There is also a bus stop across the road. We would definitely recommend.

My partner and I had a really pleasant stay at Villa Klaic! We’d done quite a bit of research on where we were going to stay and the resounding reviews swayed us here! Location was great, a 10-15 min walk down to the old town, all down stairs so we got an Uber back up for around €5. Milo from the moment we arrived was an outstanding host. He was really helpful on recommendations and showing us where to go, it was also really nice to get to know Milo over a sparkling wine & beer! Our room was faultless, we had one with the sea view balcony and the view was breathtaking. Our room had an espresso machine which was one of the best coffees we had whilst staying in Croatia, along with water and beers in the mini fridge. The room was kept spotless, towels replaced whenever you needed along with pool towels and beach towels on request. Breakfast was varied and delicious, super fresh and I personally alternated between muesli, fruit & yoghurt and bread with cheese and jam. It truly felt like we were staying with a relative (but one who really looks after you!) because we’ve never felt so safe and cared for on a trip and can’t thank Milo enough for his top quality service and humble hosting. The pool was of course, an added bonus and kept very clean and lovely to come back to on a hot day. Thank you so much Milo and we really hope to return someday to Villa Klaic!

IrelandThere's nothing to not like
Everything about Villa Klaic is exceptional, but I must give particular mention to Milo. From the moment Milo greets you with a warm smile and a complimentary cold beer or a glass of local wine, you know you made the right choice when you booked Villa Klaic. You have arrived to a beautiful B&B in the equally beautiful heritage town of Dubrovnik. The room and en-suite were gorgeous with everything you could possibly need in it. There's a coffee machine and fridge in the room which was stocked each day with 2 bottles of water and 2 beers again free of charge. Each morning, Milo had a lovely selection of cereal, cold meats ,cheese, breads, pastries, fresh fruits, and amazing coffee waiting for you. Milo was extremely sociable and helpful. We were booking a ferry to Kotcula Island and he looked up different ferries for us and on our last morning, when we were leaving at 6am, he insisted on getting up early so that we could have a coffee and some breakfast before we left. If I return to Dubrovnik, which I really hope to do again, I would 100% stay here again. Villa Klaic is just a 5 minute walk to the old town (there are many steps down, but then there are steps everywhere in Dubrovnik). We got an Uber each night back, roughly about €4 to €5. After staying in Villa Klaic, I can fully understand why they have won many awards and have such a high rating on booking.com. Keep up the great work, Milo and team, and until next time. Take care 🙂 Ann and Paudie Keane, Ireland.
