Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Beautiful interior design, exquisite furniture and finishes. Excellent location in a residential neighborhood close to great restaurants and about a mile from the old town.

United StatesAbsence of branded shampoo, conditioner and body lotion was a disappointment, again given the caliber of the hotel. Absence of nicer tea in the room. The cups provided were really small. Small detail - the cups at breakfast were a better size, but the hot water volume was only 2/3 cup so you'd end up needing to pour a second cup to fill your actual cup.
The breakfast buffet (and service) was stylish and delicious. As an avid tea drinker, the tea selection could have been higher end (for such a high end hotel). Service was great, from check in to check out. Courteous, helpful, friendly.

SwedenWe paid €400/night which is quite expensive even for a very nice hotel. First morning we ate breakfast inside, very loud noise from the chairs on the stone floor, should be an easy fix with rubber or some pads under each leg. Not a problem when having breakfast outside though. There were ongoing construction nearby which maybe doesn’t look that nice, but it wasn’t disturbing.
Nice location, close to the beach and nearby restaurants. A short walk to old town. Very nice and clean, modern room with nice bed and furniture.

United KingdomWe had one of the cheaper rooms and the view wasn't particularly nice. The walk into the city centre isn't great. But these are small grumbles - I highly recommend Briig.
The staff were lovely. I liked all the extra touches such as the fruit drink and hand cloth on arrival. The beds are amazing - I don't think I have ever had such a comfortable bed (and choice of pillow!). We stayed on two separate nights in the same week. The first night we had a room with a beautiful huge bath and it was wonderful. The design throughout the hotel is fantastic - loved the wood-clad walls and the furniture. It is worth a visit for the design alone. Lovely roof top swimming pool but it isn't big - so great if there aren't too many people less so when there are too many other guests. The breakfasts are incredible - wonderful selection of fresh fruit (some quite exotic), yogurts, kefir, cooked meats, cheese, pastries - even gateaux and Prosecco. People were enjoying mimosas! I could have spent the morning eating the breakfasts outside in the sunshine. Heaven.

United StatesIf you book avoid rooms facing the ocean. Both nights we were woken up multiple times from partiers yelling loudly. Nothing the hotel can do but they should make guests aware this is an issue before booking. Maybe not as bad on higher floors.
Modern and very comfortable. Great bed and bedding. Best robes and slippers we’ve experienced. Huge bath for a European hotel. Good breakfast and location. We got our Steps in walking to the old city, which might not be a plus for everyone.

United KingdomWe would have appreciated a balcony. The air conditioning fan was very noisy. Some of their charges were petty, such as being charged EU1.00 for a drop of milk in a coffee. The cost of the airport shuttle was ridiculous. One could order a taxi for a fraction of that. We were charged significant extra for a sea-view but all we could see was a building site with a crane, car park and a little of the sea shining through the trees.
The breakfast was good with plenty of choice and attentive staff. The interior design of the hotel is quite pleasing.

AustriaLittle details I recommend to adapt: Coffee machine in the morning: the quality of the coffee doesn't live up with the rest of the breakfast buffet, and milk powder instead of fresh milk? Bit of a 3 star touch. Staff is friendly but not overly attentive, train then in guest service. Rather minor details but: when returning to the hotel in the evening and sitting down on the terrace, even if you are closed and busy with cleaning the bar -approach the guests and let them know you are closed. Bit odd watching you working but ignoring guests. Breakfast staff in some cases don't greet. Not every receptionist has good destination knowledge, work on that. Remember, you are all selling an experience not just a hotel stay - as a conclusion: staff needs to compliment the stunning design a bit better. Location: seems it is still developing. Way to historic center not very attractive. (But not too far to walk) Beach in front of the hotel not very nice, should not be the reason why choosing this hotel. Nicer beaches around 10 minutes by car
This hotel is a piece of art. Excellently designed, stunning architecture and practical, comfortable guest rooms. A rare Combination. Good guest room size, enough storage space. Great black out curtains. Good breakfast, cleaning service excellent.

United KingdomLovely modern hotel on the outskirts of Split. Location was actually really good being 50 yards from the beach and a ten minute stroll into the old town. Parking was underground and cost us 10eu per night, which is half the price of on street parking. Breakfast was excellent, and so were the staff. Really enjoyed staying here.

GermanyTo be honest, the insulation of the windows is not good, so the outside noise of the ventilation system on one side of the hotel is clearly audible.
The boutique hotel is definitely recommendable. Great staff and good service.
