Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesBecause it's in the pedestrian only area you have to park and walk to it. We arrived at nite so finding it while walking up the steep hill with our luggage was tough. We saw a lot of people trying to find their places as it's a bit of a maze of little streets but you learn them quickly. Also be aware that parking close by in the lot by the harbor is extremely expensive so move your car to the free lot once you get your luggage in. The towels could be softer but that's really it.
A nice large space for a couple. Comfy beds and nice shower. We stayed in the lower level apt with a nice view from the patio. The upstairs unit has a balcony that you can see if you walk out to the edge of yours. It is located right under the iconic church tower in a great area near shops and restaurants. You do need to walk up the steep cobblestone paths to get to it and they are very slippery when wet. It was quiet at night as it's up the hill away from the harbor.

AustraliaWe longed to re-organise the living space - ie to turn the sofa 90 degrees so it faced the sea view rather than the kitchenette and bathroom door - and mount the TV on the living room wall so you didn't need to sit in bed to watch it!
Well renovated, contemporary apartment with a gorgeous view and a lovely terrace. The host was very responsive with all issues dealt with promptly and without fuss. The apartment is in a good location for the old town as well as the beaches, bars and restaurants. It's quite a difficult haul with luggage from the public car park but worth it for the view - plus once you're at the property it's direct access from the street. There apparently are luggage services you can hire but we didn't know how to find these - would be good if the host could provide contact details in the info about the apartment.

United KingdomPlease note, the accommodation is a “ studio” layout ( not apartment)- as the double bed is within the one living space, separated by a curtain. Therefore, there is no window to open ( for sleeping)- but the air-con unit is very good. The coffee machine was great (when it worked)-but was quite “ hit & miss”, wasting numerous coffee pods ( supplied by host)
The patio is superb with a great furniture set and lovely views, plus good shade. The accommodation is really good quality, the wc/ shower room is great. The host was excellent, very helpful & easy to contact. The location is in the heart of the old town, near a good pizza restaurant. 6-7 mins to bakers/fish & veg market & numerous bars and cafes. Also a lovely place for peace and quiet.

SwedenVery difficult to get to with luggage. Car had to be parked very far away from the apartment. City centre is closed for cars and passing is only permitted for residents. Transportation/luggage pick up would have been highly appreciated. Another alternative could have been if the host could have arranged for temporarily passage to drop the luggage off. Parking in the harbour is very expensive. However, there is free parking available within a 20 min walk which we found out from our friends. This information would have been helpful in advance.
Beautiful view from the terrace, close to city centre, restaurants and bars. Calm at nights. Well equipped and clean apartment.

United KingdomNothing.
The property is located just a few steps away from the church of Saint Euphemia in the old town of Rovinj. The elevated location provides magnificent views, though due to the nature of the cobbled streets it would not be a good choice of property for anyone who has difficulty walking. The property is particularly spacious (both inside and out) and has been finished to a very high standard. Some properties in Rovinj offer complimentary transfer (by electric golf cart) from the main car park but Casa Monte did not include this service. However, it's easy to contact the numerous small companies that provide such a service. Casa Monte felt like 'home from home' and we would have loved to stay longer.

FinlandLocation: right next to the eufemia church on top of a hill, with a view of the Adriatic sea at a distance. Quality of furniture: decent furniture and amenities all of which is quite new. Very near to the towns center and restaurants and yet in a quiet neighborhood. Responsiveness of the host: very quick to respond to messages and calls. Large Patio: there are two apartments in this home, the upper one has clear view of the sea. The Patio for both apartments is large and has a sofa and hanging chair. This is the best feature of the apartment. Note: you rent only one of the apartments and not both.

AustriaValue with respect to cost and effort on traveller. Pay in cash? Overall, I would not come again. The cost is too high for a lack in convenience expected at this price point. The inside of the home was well kept and nicely presented. Although outside terrace was pretty dirty including the seats. House rules were different then in the booking. We followed the booking site rather then the paper on the table with somehow different pricing as compared to what we needed to pay. As we only got the place because of the terrace. It was nice and a let down. For the high cost, I needed to uncover the patio furniture and clean it. Not to mention the terrace was pretty dirty, with some strange purple stuff on the ground. But at least the view was nice! Payment in cash was also an inconvenience as the place is a very high cost, so carrying an envelope of cash is a bit of a risk. Check in was a bit strange. The owner asked when we'd be there as she is 5 minutes from the location. We gave a range due to the difficulty of finding parking. Once we parked, we messaged for an an exact time, which was in our communicated window. We got instructions for the lock box and made it in. Then we waited 30 minutes for documents to be taken a picture of and the cash payment taken. As it was late we didn't expect to wait at the apartment to go out for food if we set a time to meet.
Location, view, apartment is really nice. Nice first impression when you walk in and throughout your stay.

HungaryIdeal for a couple, has really great view and terrace. It is close to the church , so a little bit high, you need to go upstairs, consider this. But i did it easily 8 months pregnant, so it is not impossible :)
