Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The coffee machine produced only lukewarm drinks, so we asked for hot water from behind the counter. Overall, breakfast was good.
The location was excellent, just a short walk to the heart of Split, and the staff at Luxe Hotel were very friendly.

Gym equipment quite old and treadmill didn’t work. Booked an extra bed and received confirmation that the request was approved at no extra cost, but was told on check out that I owed €50. Breakfast was quite limited and area very small

The breakfast was a bit disappointing, ran out of yoghurt and other items only to be told it was nearly the end of the month. Not enough food for the amount of people staying, with some having to have breakfast in reception! Pillows very soft and needed to ask for an extra pillow for support which was supplied without question.
Stayed for 4 nights, location is very good for all city activities, just a 5 minute walk in. Staff were very helpful with maps, bus information and directions. Hotel was clean and tidy, comfortable bed and quite from city noise.

The pricess for the off seasona and the access through a narrow street to get to the parking. It is always bloked with cars on the side (the street to the parking) so we were hesitant to remove our car from the parking because getting it back was an issue
The location is in the hearth of Split. The staff is the friendliest and the breakfast is good but you can use more options

Very convenient location for trains, ferries and buses. Friendly and helpful staff who were available even though my arrival was very delayed. They also prepared me a delicious special, allergen free breakfast (with advance notification). Comfortable warm room

The breakfast was so special—not a buffet, but instead they served lots of carefully selected and yummy dishes, each one thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, making our morning feel relaxed, personal, and a little indulgent.

Breakfast could be better. The room is separaret from bathroom by a glass wall. If light the bathroom in the middle of night, the room is lit as well.
Good room size, near the bus and ferry terminals. Close to Diocletian Palace in Split.

The coffee at breakfast was cold. Pancakes were cold.
The front desk staff was great. They went above & beyond with recommendations for dinner & helping with maps. Location was close to the harbor & the bus station.

The health area needed work. The Jacuzzi was barely warm, the sauna was turned off. And the water machine in the gym area was broken. Apparently all had been mentioned to staff before. But nothing had been fixed.

Just a little thing, but the coffee machine did not seem to work as the hot drinks were like warm

The location was excellent, and it was within walking distance of the city center and the port. It was especially great for us; we took a high-speed boat to Dubrovnik.

Room finishings vs price/value not quite there. Whirlpool in wellness area wasn't functioning.
Great location, 5m walk to old city and such and 10m walk to beach. Newly renovated, quiet inside. Small but useable gym and simple sauna. Good A/C!
