Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Unfortunately although the 1st floor room was spotless there was a drain smell in the bathroom. And we did need earplugs (as the bedroom door was located very near the lift and breakfast room. Also outside noise.) It was all manageable though and didn’t ruin the trip.
The room was lovely, very clean and very comfortable. It had an extra area with sofa, fridge and tea/coffee facilities. The hotel staff were really lovely too, polite and very helpful.brilliant location too.

Not as easy to get easy transport e.g taxis to and from property. Breakfast is limited if that’s a big requirement for anyone, for us it was enough. Toiletries is only really soap and toilet paper so just incase for people staying it’s worth bringing your own toothpaste and shampoo/conditioner etc.
Very aesthetic rooms and property, in the heart of town so easy to walk everywhere, value for money, staff were friendly and inviting, before arriving their communication was so good best I’ve experienced with hotels and they were able to let us check in without an additional charge. There’s a lovely book in the rooms which gives us so much information and they were able to help us with taxis and anything we needed.

The lift wasn't working but that wasn't a trouble. We can walk up stairs.
Our room was upgraded to a suite so that was lovely! We were the only guests in the hotel at the time (midwinter). The host made us feel very welcome and the room was spacious with a sofa to sit on as well as the bed. Excellent location and bonus points for catering well for extensive food intolerances at breakfast. The coffees served next door were excellent too.

Short in hotel facilities. No sitting area, small reception area. I understand that this is a small hotel in an historic building so public space was at a premium. So all good.

I loved everything about the hotel.

No secure area to leave bags after check-out. Parking instructions were not specific enough - quite a walk with bags.
The rooms were large and modern, the breakfast was good, and the location is incredible.

The parking was a little bit of a hike but it’s understandable.
Location was perfect for us, very walkable in the old town, so very touristy. The hotel gave us a bottle of wine complimentary upon check in and two separate comforters which was awesome if you travel with a blanket thief like me! It was easy to find very clean, and breakfast was pretty good.

Location in the square was perfect Easy to run back to room to refresh and head out Room was big and comfortable. Actually one of the most comfortable beds I've had on holiday before Rooms decorated nicely and has everything you need

I wish the egg were warmer for breakfast. Otherwise, everything was pleasant.

It can be a bit hard to find, entrance is on a side alley.

Too noisy location for my taste. More spacious breakfast area might be good to consider.

The breakfast staff were not particularly helpful or welcoming, and the breakfast was below average. Our views were pretty ugly (just looking into other houses/at rooftops etc), but I guess being at the back of the building this meant we had peace at night when town was busy.
Lovely, quiet, spacious, well equipped and cool room. Warm welcome at reception. Fantastic location right in the centre of the old town! Comfortable bed.
