Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI had good wifi in my room, but the signal went in and out, mostly out, for my friend at the end of the West building. Very frustrating when the hotel is supposed to provide connectivity. Staff was mostly indifferent. It would have been nice to have a clock and coffee maker in the room, even a cheap hotel in the US provides that. We checked in at the West building, but had to go all the way over to the East building to check out. Makes no sense...aren't they on the same computer system???
The location was excellent. We were able to walk over to the thermal baths without going outside. The food was top notch, as it was the last few times I stayed before it was Hunguest. They must have kept the chef.

United StatesThe walk from the hotel to the pools was a little long. It would be nice if pool shoes were provided. Some of the areas around the pool can get very slippery.
The mineral pools were wonderful. The dining, breakfast and dinner, was excellent. The location is delightful. It is good that pool shoes are available in the gift shop. The steam room and sauna are very hot. Plan on sticking to the guidelines for use.

Czech RepublicMost of the staff are pleasant and helpful. But we had one very unpleasant waiter (a bald man) who behaved very impolitely during dinner, shouted loudly and charged for drinks that he did not bring. Such people unfortunately spoil the overall impression of an otherwise pleasant stay.
The hotel has a great location - it has a direct connection to the spa. Entrance to the spa is included in the accommodation price, as many entrances are free as you stay at the hotel. The hotel has two buildings. We were in the west wing, there are rooms with slightly older equipment. Still clean, spacious and comfortable.

HungaryDecor is retro in the negative sense. While the food is not bad, it is far from being good. Staff is stressed and service is slow. Wellness is quite basic and the gym is a scam.
The family rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable, also quite clean including the bathroom.

Czech RepublicWe have expected more local food, Hungarian goulashes, etc. During the winter time is nothing to do outside of the hotel. Most of the entertainment and restaurants are shut down.
Very nice bed, quiet room. Fantastic food, buffet permanently fulfilled. Beverages the whole day, good beer, nice red vine, some shots in the evening, and champagne in the morning. Excellent connection with spa meeting all expectations.

Czech RepublicTHAT the overwhelming majority of the hotel quality criteria have been steadily declining for quite a long time. The professional level of the receptionists is getting worse year by year, the service in the dining room is getting more amateurish year by year, the menu in the dining room is getting poorer and poorer, while five or ten years ago there was a drink menu on every table with an offer of various wines, beers and soft drinks, at least now nothing like that for two years or more and the question is whether you want white or red, origin unknown, brand not mentioned. Where are the days when the cook prepared egg omelettes in the morning and pancakes and grilled meat in the evening, in the evening there was real ice cream and not the watery dregs served now. A topical example of decay is the fritter machine - something completely embarrassing. The renovated bathrooms with almost no hangers in the East Wing are also an example of quality management. Reduced offer in "renovated" wellness in both wings is also worth mentioning here.
Direct connection to the adjacent spa, renewal of room equipment, which, however, did not improve the comfort of the stay in all aspects, service in the wellness area, even if only in one. There is not much at the former quite high level anymore.

AustriaRoom too small. Hotel does not have swimming pool, you get free entrance to the public Bük spa but you meed to pay for sunbeds-can be crowded and very public. Hygiene not on a high level in the hotel. Bük spa very old and not clean. Staff in the hotel could be more friendly. Waiting at the bar-more staff needed. Foof is very traditional-all in sauces and oily
Garden party with traditional food. Hotel is directly connected to the publick Bük spa. All inclusive-not bad
