Luwak villas were amazing! A very relaxing atmosphere. We have stayed in Ubud before and getting into monkey forest road can be an issue due to traffic. Being located at the top end the shuttle bus was a lot quicker to catch in. You can walk to monkey forest road but would advise catching the shuttle as it is a little far to walk. The villa was beautiful and accommodated all of us really well with heaps of space the pool was a nice size for a family as well. The service was amazing, our butler was Arya. Arya went up and beyond for us and made our experience at Luwak one to remember. He made our experience a breeze and always went out of his way to make us happy and for us to have an amazing trip. Would definitely stay at Luwak villas again. ☺️

The location was quiet and the Villa was spacious and well appointed. The breakfast was very nice with a great selection. A shuttle bus service free of charge is available for pickup and drop off. It’s about 4kms from the centre of Ubud so it’s about a 20 minute walk if you prefer. The best was the staff, very personable and tried their best to make our stay enjoyable. Thank to Arya and the staff 🙏🏻😊

Only downfall was the noise on a night, if you’re a light sleeper may be a little bit of an issue. We were informed of construction work close by during the day which wasn’t an issue. However, we were in one of the 3 bed villas which was at the end of the estate, so on the other side of the wall of our villa was not part of Luwak estate & the villa/house there had dogs which barked alllll through the night :( not Luwak Estates fault but very annoying.

Stunning property, so much better than what we expected upon arrival. The villas were beautiful, aswell as the garden/pool areas. Very aesthetically pleasing, a real relaxing Bali vibe. I was also really impressed with the communal areas & facilities that were on offer (spa treatments, room service, transport, activities.. all of which I didn’t expect). The staff were never short in numbers & extremely helpful. I’s really recommend this place.

Great size villa and aesthetic, lovely pool. All the rooms are large and have good facilities. The spa was great, I had a flower bath in my room which was Beautiful. The food from the restaurant was lovely and we had it in our villa which was great.

Luwak Estate is a beautiful, traditional Hotel surrounded by stunning nature. The Hotel's restaurant offered a wide variety of food, which was always delicious and presented nicely. The staff is extremely friendly, always available and happy to help. We are looking forward to visit Luwak Estate again in the future.

Shuttle only runs a few times a day - on every hour would be much more useful.

Great stay at the Luwak Villas. We chose the locations because of its walking distance to Ubud centre (around 20 mins) but far enough away for peace and quiet. We spent seven nights and had a 2 bedroom valley view villa (Room 301/302) with private pool which is huge and very comfortable. Daily cleaning is adequete and breakfast is very good and can be served in the room by ordering the day before. Overall we enjoyed the time at Luwak and would visit again.

One of the bedrooms had no mosquito net, which left our daughter with lots of bites. They did give us a plug in which helped but not ideal. The spa was tatty and covered in ants- my flower bath was full of caterpillars and snails! All a lovely experience as long as you look past that! Quite a lot of traffic noise at night which took a bit of getting used to.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Price was reasonable. Sati in the spa was wonderful and all the treatments we had were great. Breakfast was slightly limited in options after a few days but was very tasty - the mie goreng in particular was delicious. Villa was beautiful, excellent clean pool and lovely bathrooms.

The villa needs maintenance, for example the wall from the kitchen and from the pool does not look very good.

The property was close to Ubud center and we have a little supermarket in front of the villas.

Paint for walls was bit old, as property was on the edge of valley there were few insects.

Pool and greenary at the property was awesome, staff was super attentive and accomodating to our requests. Massage and Floating breakfast is a must.

One of the two rooms didn't have an aircon (turned out OK for us as luckily it wasn't too hot during our stay). Rooms seemed quite dated and in dire need of maintenance here and there. E.g. in one of the bathrooms there was some mushrooms growing on the ceiling. As some other reviews point out, there were all sorts of crawlies and creepies around the villa but that was definitely not unexpected and didn't bother us (in fact, kids loved it).

Spacious rooms. The pools were quite nice, both the private and the shared one. Excellent location with easy access to Ubud centre as well as convenient for exploring north of Ubud, lots of landmarks within a short drive. The staff were super-helpful, actively trying to solve any of our problems. As an example, on the last day we asked them for a taxi to drive us to a waterfall nearby, come back and then drive us down to Nusa Dua. Instead they found someone who took us straight to the waterfall, waited for us there (for at least 3 hours) and then drove us to Nusa Dua, saving both time and money. Also, upon knowing we booked an early morning excursion, having to leave before breakfast, they offered to pack a breakfast box for us to take away. Super nice and helpful!
