Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyBathroom could have had more counter space/drawers/hooks to hang towels and toiletries. Location was a bit far from any other restaurants/points of interest (driving was necessary). Spa was expensive for the area.
Aircon was strong and effective, and rooms were spacious. Check-in and checkout was fast and friendly. Plenty of common areas to relax and hang out.

PhilippinesThe breakfast at the restaurant tied in the hotel is quite expensive.
The front desk and other staff are friendly. Huge rooms and comfortable beds. Daily clean-up. They have free water refills. The place is quiet and well-maintained.

SingaporeThe bathroom was rather spartan with no shelving to put toiletries and no small bath mats since the floor got wet when one showered. There were not enough power points in order to charge electronic items in the room or the living area. If there was a power point it was in a very weird place and not conveniently located. Eg halfway up the wall next to the bathroom door.
The room was nice in that the bedroom and small living area were separated. The patio outside the room was large and spacious. The staff were very helpful in assisting with our needs.

NetherlandsWifi speed needs to be faster for downstreaming. The location is outside Ubud centre, not a walking distance. Water drainage in shower and sink is not good. No need for bathtop though.
THOR resto breakfast menu and kind services. Clean kitchen, resto place is nice, but at a busy street.

New ZealandThe breakfast menu is distictly limited. What is served is good but limited range.
I loved the individuality of my room/suite with TV outdoors in the vestibule, and the al fresco bathrroom and the private access to the pool area. It is more than 10 minutes away from Ubud in the average days traffic so the location is not perfect for either Ubud or beaches, however there a lage range of places, activities, which are with 30 to 40 minutes.

New ZealandThe breakfast is extremely basic but adequate.
Between Ubud and the East coast the location is handy to both, traffic in Bali is generally very slow so being close to places you want to go is important. My room (200) with its al fresco bathroom, out door TV lounge and kitchen was interesting, and enjoyable. The private access to the pool area a bonus.

Nice location, only 10 minutes from Ubud. It is not crowded. The hotel outside facilities are very nice and well kept. The hotel is very polite and supportive.

Czech RepublicThr pool is not clean, do not want to swim. The spa is dirty, no prices, you will have to wait 15-20 minutes for masseurs
Villa on 2 floors. Each floor has a double bed. If you need accommodation for 4 people on 3 beds, you need to write additionally to the hotel. Otherwise they will place everyone as it turns out, no persuasion will not help. Well-maintained territory, restaurant on the territory. Better to have breakfast somewhere near, not in the hotel

United States of AmericaSince the cottage roof was not sealed to the walls and the main bathroom was open to the outside, mosquitoes and other insects were free to get inside. Therefore, it was hard to avoid mosquito bites. We didn’t mind the presence of other insects.
The location was quiet because it wasn’t in central Ubud. We didn’t want to walk around the busy, crowded streets so the location suited us. The staff was cordial and responsive. The cottage was spacious and clean. The beautiful surroundings were lush with greenery and decorative in Balinese tradition.
