Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South AfricaThe common areas need more frequent cleaning - tables often strewn with litter, dirty mugs etc. Actually felt sorry for the staff.
Well located, clean, safe and comfortable hostel - was impressed. Good breakfast and pleasant, helpful staff. Lovely towels.

NorwayNothing, really. The place is a short walk from the city centre.
Travelling on an externally funded budget, Jacobs turned up as one of the more affordable options in Dublin. I don't really see why it costs less than other places--the room was perfectly comfortable and the location, while slightly out of the city centre, was also good.

BelgiumThe hostel is located in a by-road, which can be a little sketchy in the night. I wouldn't advice that if it's your first time coming to the inn, and its late at night, use Talbot St. rather than the other street to get to the hostel.
I appreciated the safety measures available at the hostel. The different floors and rooms were only accessible using a pin assigned to you by the reception. There was also a locker where you could securely store all your things. As a solo-female traveler, this safety aspect was very much appreciated. I liked that there was a separate ( and surprisingly spacious) bathroom for each dorm. The pods were also a great feature, since it offered me privacy and allowed me to keep the lights on in my area without worrying that it will disturb others. The Bar and restaurant were also very welcoming, and I opted to spend my nights here rather than going out to eat.

AustraliaBathroom wasn't super clean, and a bit annoying that we all had to share 1 shower between 6 people, so you need to get up early before everyone to have a chance to not loose time waiting for others to finish.
The rooms were quite quiet, with the beds being some what comfortable. I really liked having curtains as they cut out a lot of light. It was good having a toilet in the dorm. Also they have a lot of space in the lockers for luggage storage, and was a lot more than a normal hostel which was great!

CanadaWhile sleeping people next cells unconsciously hit the walls of their cells with their arms or legs and that made terrible sounds that reminded me of explosions I can hear at home during russian missile attacks.
The description of the place is quite good and gives the correct image of the place. The breakfast is very good (it can be included or not). The cell to sleep is quite comfortable with a shelf and two different light scenarios :-) The linen is clean and fresh. I liked the privacy that this type of cells can provide as well as protect from cold air from the window.
