Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomFor the price of room I Didn’t like that there was no shower gel, shampoo or conditioner. To get to pool you have to walk through car park u underground! No jacuzzi in pool area. Bar entertainment was in foyer as oppose to in the quiet bar and so it was quite dull experience. There was a function on till midnight which meant we couldn’t sleep to after this had finished due to noise. Some room doors don’t close properly and we noticed some people room doors ajar! For the price paid I don’t think I would stay again.
I like the large spacious room 226 with large bed and shower and also bathtub in bathroom. Iron and board provided. Hairdryer in room. Also face cloth provided. Clean.

United KingdomMy room was a bit tired and needing refreshing. There was no air con in the room, and the king bed was 2 singles pushed together which meant that the mattresses had a height disparity.
I liked the friendly welcome from the staff. They were fantastic! Helpful, informative, and welcoming. The bathroom was modern and spacious with a large walk-in shower and feature bath.

IrelandUnfortunately the Spa was fully booked out over the weekend and could not get any appointments during our stay even though we did ring in advance. This was a disappointing as it was my husbands birthday and had hoped to book him in and myself for treatments.
We had a lovely two night break at the Osprey. we ordered Breakfast to the room one morning and it was lovely. piping hot and plenty of food. The room was spotless and the bed was extremely comfy.

IrelandThe food at the Bar was not great. Paid €25 for a duck fillet and potatoes. The fillet was very fatty and mostly inedible and I got one potato with my meal. Asked for a garlic mayo and it looked like it had been sat out for hours, was yellow and had lumps of transparency as if it had been left out. Service wasn’t the best in the bar. Staff were quite a while to serve you despite it not being particularly busy. Was like they were avoiding eye contact incase you called them for something. Pint of Guinness also wasn’t the freshest and the bar were quite slow. Overall service in the bar was a 4/10. For a lovely hotel the bar definitely needs looking at.
We had an executive suite and the room was lovely. Very spacious and clean. Facilities were well kept and the hotel itself was really nice. Saoirse on reception was so professional and accommodating so just wanted to highlight her efforts to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast in Herald and Devoy was really nice.

IrelandThe food was excellent, the service was better than expected considering the pressure they were under on a busy bank holiday week. The pool/leisure center was clean and reasonably well equipped. We loved the free standing roll top bath in our room.

IrelandBreakfast was disappointing with a lot of foods stale most days and inconsistencies in portions The lifts have little to no light and could do with a voice over to let residents know which floor they are on, the screen is difficult to see
Overall a nice stay, bed was very comfortable and staff were super helpful.

IrelandThe bar food was hit or miss. The duck option for main course was pathetically small with 1 potato on the side ( €22 not worth €12) . The Hot chocolate brownie was a freezing cold rock solid slab of hard chocolate . Pity because the soup and wings were fantastic. Starters great , mains poor.
All good. Everything as advertised. Spa was fantastic . Staff were lovely. Room and facilities were great.

IrelandLittle irritated that we couldn’t put any bills on the room including room service breakfast and had to pay by debit card each time. This made it v awkward for the very nice staff who had to keep “checking with reception” then apologising that we “were not allowed put anything on the room”. Not sure why that is the policy as I offered my debit card on check in. For €260 per night it felt a bit like they thought we were planning not to pay. Probably should have booked directly with the hotel.

IrelandThe wait at both hotel bar and breakfast area/coffee dock to pay. A little bit away from bars n restaurants in the town (in heels)
The room was huge. It had a massive bath and beautiful walk in shower. Bathroom was the biggest I've ever seen in a hotel and had 2 washhand basins. Beds were comfy and had tea n coffee making facilities. TV was dodgy but that didn't bother us too much.

IrelandThe only thing was the heat was not working in the room, but there was a plug in heater which was ok and we pit it beside us which done the job. Obviously the management knew about the heat as there was a heater so they should just get it fixed
