Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandThe shower pressure was weak and kept going from hot to cold. The walls are thin in the rooms, could hear a baby crying next door.
The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed. There was a great breakfast with a lot of different options available. We were attending a wedding in the Powerscourt which was nearby, this was a much cheaper option.

IrelandIt’s slightly dated and the spa isn’t onto the hotel. There are no additional facilities included.

United States of AmericaBath was dated. Carpet was dated and shabby. Smelly room overwhelming breathing. Rundown and dark corridors.
Breakfast was good.

IrelandThis is such a strange one because I wanted to love this hotel much more than I did. We’ve stayed before and it’s a super location. The ambience in the bar and restaurant in the evenings is slightly off, with too-bright lighting and a tv playing in the lounge. Just bizarre for a country house hotel. In the spa, there are corners where things are broken, like doors, and it’s a bit shabby in places. I would describe the treatment as a nice rub with oil: all very nice and everything but not really comparable to other, less pricey, spas. I could feel my therapist’s nails. Not nice. The dinner, now that was not good. We had pan fried salmon which comes with no veg - this was reiterated by the waiting staff - really nothing, a few capers and something under the fish, no sauce, no lemon - €25. I mean that’s eye-watering. Then, the fish had the texture of salmon that had been pre-cooked and then seared to bejaney. Tough and inedible. But, the saving grace was that when we complained, it was immediately removed from our bill, and apologised for, so look, we weren’t unhappy, just left unsatisfied for dinner and a little wary of the hotel’s pricing. The breakfast, by contrast, was beautiful. Such variety, all laid out, with menu (and off-menu!) choices accommodated with more pleasant service. This, and the leisurely checkout, left us feeling relaxed and unhurried.
Lovely location, scrupulously clean, friendly staff.

We were supposed to have a double room but they gave us a single twin bed room. I’m trying to get refunded as was charged for a double room. The comfort was great though.

United KingdomBeing picky, the beds could have been a little more comfortable. I did sleep well so they weren't awful just a little hard but again that can be personal preference.
Breakfast - well that was 10/10. I never saw a spread as impressive at such a keen price point. It was 5 star in my opinion! Beautiful gammon, cheeses, condiments, fresh fruit, yoghurt. The best granola I've tasted in a long time! I went for the fry and again everything was tasty and 10/10. I would stay here again just for the breakfast! Staff - really friendly and helpful! Couldn't do enough to make you welcome.
