Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe shower curtain. Figure this out! Get the curved shower curtain holders so I don’t have to. feel the shower curtain up against me. Gross
We loved the balcony off our room. The location was okay, a bit noisy at night. Loved the bath towels and sheets. Rooms made up every day. Coffee and tea service restocked daily. Lots of hot water! Front desk super helpful.

United States of AmericaBeing in Temple Bar area comes with a good bit of noise. There was a bar/club next to the hotel that was open until 3am. The hotel is currently being update, but the upper floors haven’t yet been changed and do not have A/C. When we got hot we had to open the windows which unfortunately then exposed us to all of that noise.
The location was incredible, located in the heart of Temple Bar. And the hotel is beautiful. Very classic European style design and very comfortable.

ItalyThe plumbing in the bathroom is hard to use. The sink nozzles had to be turned several times to have running water, making it hard to conserve water use. The toilet did not flush easily and had to be applied several times for regular flushing. Prices for the restaurant and bar were high, so we did not dine or drink within the facility. Heating was an issues on our last night. We needed to go to bed early for VERY early departing flights the next morning, the heat was turned on (controlled by the facility) making it feel extremely hot and unbearable in our room. We had to ask twice at 8pm and 11pm for someone to please turn down the heat. We did not get very much sleep making our early morning flights difficult. Also, when messaging the hotel about parking accommodations, we were referred to APCOA Jervis Street Car Park. I was under the impression this was a 24 hour car park. It is not. While it is partly our fault for not reading every single sign, 24 hours means 24 hours, it would have been helpful for the staff to inform us of the Car Park hours. We ran into an issue getting our rental car out before 8am the morning of our departing flights. It was an additional 50 EUR cash plus the full price for parking to get our car before 8am. The hotel told us we could validate our tickets and cap our parking fees at 15 to 19 EUR (I was told two different amounts) and because we left before 8am the Car Park could not validate our parking. We spent almost 85 EUR for a days worth of parking. That could have been avoided. Lastly, if your intentions are to sleep early and wake up very early, this is not the hotel or area to accomplish that. Every night there is loud music and parties well past 1am.
Our room was enough for what we needed, average bed comfort. Our room have plenty of storage space. Location is great for getting around Temple Bar District and local sites. WE did not use the restaurant or bar services. Staff were kind and for the most part, helpful. The lounge area is well decorated and inviting. It was helpful having 24 hour staffing at the front desk.

IrelandThe bath is mottled and needs replacing. The deposit system is unfair, they tske €50 per night out of your account straight awsy but it takes 3 or 4 working days for it to go back into your account, that's not right.
The staff are very friendly at check-in and KellyAnn in the bar was superb. Tje location is great, the bar & lobby are gorgeous. Bedrooms are a little dated but spotlessly clean.
