Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaCould hear music from bar late at night.
Excellent location, within walking distance to Quay St, shopping, Galway Cathedral, Lidle supermarket. Very secure building and parking, beautiful apartment. Great roof top patio. Only downside is we were right across from Mary Mullins bar and could hear the disco music late into the night. So if you’re a light sleeper that might be an issue. But otherwise we very much enjoyed our stay!

New ZealandIt was dated and our sinks were dirty (scum around the plug hole). Didn’t realise it was a shared balcony area which is a bit strange.
Excellent central location, walking distance to everything in Galway. Incredible views. Good space.

Very spacious. Very good location. All the logistics (keys, parking etc) worked well. Bed was comfortable, if not as large as we would have liked.

United States of AmericaThere could have been a few more towels and amenities, but I think the standards are just different for the US vs Ireland. The locks on the front door and the door to the patio were difficult to operate.
The apartment was in a perfect location. Walkable to all of the sites, restaurants, and pubs that we wanted to see in Galway within a 15-20 minute walk. Our apartment had a private rooftop that overlooked the street below and had a beautiful view of Galway. We got to watch the sunrise and set over the bay, and the people of the city enter the pub across the street. The size of the apartment was good for my husband, friend, and me. Though we didn't use anything aside from the kettle and the toaster, the kitchen had a lot of tools for cooking. The check-in/check-out is done at the hotel across the street, which makes it simple. Parking is included in a locked, underground car park.

United KingdomDrinks and food that were overpriced left on the table and in the fridge, these were at pub prices or more expensive. Sofa very uncomfortable and a small poor quality TV, no TV's in bedroom. Getting and returning keys a pain No blackout blinds in main bedroom.

United States of AmericaThe check in process was set up very poorly. The Citypoint Apartments was at a separate location from the checkin. So this required the guests to park at the pay to park area to checkin. Then transfer the car to the citypoint Apartments private parking garage. Then the checkout process required the guests to checkout, then when we returning to the car in the parking garage we found that we were locked into the underground garage because we had returned the fob. This is a ridiculous safety hazard. In the event of a natural or intentional disaster the tenants are locked in! We will not return or suggest this property to friends/family to stay here. Also a negative review will be given on trip Advisor.
The location was fantastic. The set up of the room was perfect for a party of four.

IrelandDirections to key collection was difficult & because of the one way system & no parking at the collection point. The receptionist was very patient & tried her best to direct me over the phone. I would suggest that they should meet you at the property with the key.
Lovely Property, great parking, fantastic location. I would definitely return. I could not find better accommodation with coinvent secure parking in the area.

CanadaThe only tricky part was finding the place. First had to message the property to get the precise address. Then once arrived there to collect the key, had to change locations to the actual apartment complex. However, it was a minor inconvenience for an otherwise outstanding stay.
The apartment is in a perfect location to explore Galway. Right off Eyre Square and an easy walk down to all of the action of Quay St. The kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas are all top notch. And the bonus was having a patio overlooking the entire city. So nice! We had a car, and there is a dedicated parking spot for the apartment in a secure garage with direct lift access into the building.

United KingdomWe were in room 6 and it sounded like there was some kind of cistern which was constantly filling in the bathroom. Not a problem to us and we didn’t report it but if you were spending a lot of time in the apartment I guess it could be a bit annoying
Spotlessly clean, spacious, really friendly check in staff at the hotel (just around the corner), easy to check in, brilliant location - the view from the balcony was lovely and such a central location was brilliant. Galway is wonderful!!
