Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelThe walls in the room were extremely dirty; on them, I could see black footprints from previous guests. The place was dusty with old gum stuck to the furniture. I did not want to store my clothes in the dresser drawers. Please clean the walls! Also, we did not pay for AC, but the location of the room against the setting sun made it very hot and stuffy. The bathroom ventilation felt way nicer. Some stains on the fitted bedsheet, so we slept on top of the loose flat sheet.
The location was wonderfully close to the beach and bus stops. I was satisfied with the low cost. Toilet and sink area in the women's bathroom was always clean. Staff was friendly and always helpful.

United States of Americathe beds were not the best but doable and again for the price that you pay it is acceptable to have these accommodations
Location, location location !!! The place is in a central location accessible to the beach, stores, restaurants and synagogues. It is a hostel so you get what you pay for. A few room are nicer than others because of the balcony but it is a great value for the money if you need a place to crash and sleep.

IsraelNot very clean (but okay), the double bed was really small (1,20 m x 2,00 m I think), the walls are very thin and currently there is a construction side right in front of the window where they apparently like to work at night so you can imagine the sleep quality.
Given the fact that it’s probably the cheapest you can get in Tel Aviv, you should not have high expectations. Everything is very simple, most of the furniture old and not all of them in a good condition.

NetherlandsThe facilities are not great, mostly because it's not clean and outdated. Bring slippers. Also, two of the bunkbeds in my room had no ladders so people had to climb up via a chair. A friend of mine got an eye infection, but fortunately my bed seemed to be fine and clean, although it sometimes worried me when the person above me was turning around, haha. I had no other option because everything was overbookedso I was happy to have a place to stay, but if I had any other choice, I would've gone somewhere else to be honest. Maybe even the worst part: there was no ac and it got really hot in the rooms. The fan on the ceiling was definitely not cutting it.
If you don't have a lot of options, it's a fine place, especially because the location is nice. A quick walk from the beach and the bars. The people working there are definitely nice, so it's a real shame that the hostel is so outdated. But at least the rooms have lockers.

GermanyI arrived at 12 and booked this hostel becuase it was one of the few ones, that lets guests check in at 12. When I was there the room was not ready but at I had an appointment they let me at least shower. In the end my appointment got pusshed back so I decided to wait for my room, as I was told it would be ready at 1. At one there was another person at the reception and at 1.30 I asked again if they maybe forgot me. He told me that it would be totally inlogical that the tooms are done at 12 and that I have to wait longer. I didn't hear one time of any of them that they wete sorry, no the second one even got loud and made "beeing the stupid one" for not thinking about that one hour for cleaning (11 check out-12 check in) is not enough. In the end after 2 hours of waiting I went to my appointment and had to check in in the night. Rooms are wet, shower is literally in the toilett (no actual shower, just the toiletroom with a showerhead, which means if you shower in that room the whole toiletroom is wet).
