Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

So close to everything, convenient and well air conditioned. Having an onsite restaurant is handy too. Would stay again.

It was a great experience staying at The Fort Kochi Beach Inn. Ms. Ann, Mr. Fabien and Mr. Dexter are very friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathroom are well maintained, clean and has good amenities. Was surprised to find Netflix on TV. Breakfast provided is fresh and sufficient. It is located within close proximity to the main attractions. We loved our stay from the beginning to the end. Thank you for the lovely stay. 😊

Great central location in Fort Kochi, right next to the beach, where you get a nice sunset view. The staff is very friendly and really appreciate their help to arrange a driver to take us further to Munnar and Alleppey and even hire a day boat trip there. Overall good experience and good breakfast as well: you can choose either continental or traditional one (we had appam and idli with coconut chutney).

Great customer service! Anna really paid attention to our request for a room on the ground floor, so I appreciate that they were able to accommodate us. We only stayed for one night, but I would have liked to stay longer as the location was ideal. We did not eat at the restaurant as we decided to dine out in the city and explore the local eats. The room was very clean and the A/C worked great. Overall it was a really pleasant stay!

Placement of electrical fittings in the room especially on the headrest.
The location was perfect and allowed access to many central streets and places. It was tucked away from the main road and so was quite peaceful. Ann, the overall incharge of looking at guests needs was extremely pleasant and helpful. She was very well informed about local places. The other staff at Coriander, the attached restaurant were also very responsive and helpful.

A lot of the plug points didn't work, AC often had issues, and other small things.
The hotel manager was amazing and we loved the location. Great service, good food. They arranges local transport, tickets for shows etc.

Breakfast is very limited. They served idly on both the days, that too rationed, you wont get the 4th idly. Service exceptionally slow.
The property is near all the tourist attractions. The staff is very helpful.

Friendly, supportive and very helpful staff. They help us with sight seeing around Fort Kochi as well as bookings for tours and transfers. We felt welcome and cared for.

Only thing I wish was some free space with garden and a beach view.
Great location, beach it a quick walk from here. Restaurant Veg only was good. Rooms are big and spacious. Bathroom super clean.

Good location near the beach and coastal walkway. Excellent restaurant with good breakfast each day included in price. Comfortable rooms with air-conditioning. Ann and Dexter were excellent hosts and organised taxis, tickets, and laundry for us. Highly recommended .
