Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe check in staff was a bit haughty but all other staff were very courteous and helpful. Really hard to find something we did not like, overall a very good experience.
Very comfortable hotel with all bells and whistles including high tea and cocktail hour. Breakfast was great and the room was beautiful. The swimming pool especially was amazing! Walking distance from the Khan market which is a fun place for diner.

United Kingdom-
The room was absolutely enormous and it was lovely to have a separate dressing room with space for our suitcases and the ability to close the toilet off from the rest of the bathroom. Our butler was absolutely amazing, leaving thoughtful, unexpected, items in the room such as a silk case for my sunglasses and a silk pouch for my hairbrushes. The Club Lounge had a good view and was run by friendly, efficient staff; a great place to have breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks with canapes - this made the room rate really good value as it was all included. The swimming pool area was lovely and the free bottled water was very welcomed.

ItalyThe quality of the food especially in Warq and Machan seems to have come down. We were here several times before Covid so I am comparing with that.
Great place to unwind when you are in Delhi for a few days. The Spa was very good. Would definitely come back to stay.

United KingdomThe restaurants and bar were a little ovepriced but I suppose that is expected of a 5 star hotel.
Fantastic property. We got a free upgrade so the room was wonderful. The location of New Delhi is a nice respite from Old Delhi. The staff were attentive and friendly and the pool area is a lot nice than the pictures so ensure you make use of this! The breakfast was great!

AustraliaThere was a bit of soft up-selling when we arrived, with the check-in staff claiming that they didn't have a suitable (non-smoking) room in accordance with our long-standing booking. When we declined, they agreed to give us a nicer room at no extra cost. Other than that, only two minor related complaints: (1) there is no outdoor bar, except at the pool itself. Delhi probably has a good 4-5 months a year when evenings are reasonably pleasant, so it would be a worthwhile addition. We took a short ride to the Cirrus 9 rooftop bar at the Oberoi to get our fix. (2) Rick's Bar (completely indoors with no windows) was highly-rated and had a live pianist, but lacked many patrons or atmosphere mid-week when we stayed.
The Taj offers a gorgeous respite from some of the busier parts of Delhi. We had booked a basic room, but were upgraded to a lower-level suite, which was generous in size, beautiful and luxurious. Service was the way it should be - obliging and non-intrusive. The lobby is as impressive as one might expect. The pool area is a delight, and drinks could be ordered from recliners to add to the experience - somewhat pricey but hard to pass up! The gym has plenty of varied equipment for those who want to feel they earned their drinks. The hotel is not cheap, but not expensive by western standards, and well worth it for spoiling oneself. For those so inclined, it's a gentle stroll to Khan Market, where one can see how diplomats' wives and Delhi's rich shop.

SingaporeService on the first night cocktails in Club Lounge was a bit hit and miss. Some more gluten-free options at the Club Lounge would be appreciated. But apart from that no complaints.
Newly refurbished in 2023 so everything was looking great and feeling fresh. Loved our Taj Club room, hugely spacious and great view onto the gardens. Pool area is lovely, very relaxing and staff are great. Overall we were made to feel exceptionally welcomed.

An absolutely stunning hotel in a centre location in Delhi, set against beautiful natural surroundings. The staff are very friendly, professional and helpful. Especially the pool staff (Durgesh) who were attentive to make our stay pleasant with my young daughter every time we used the facilities. An exceptional hotel to stay in, made our stay so memorable. Will definitely be staying again!
