Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe road to get there was really hard, lots of stones and rocks and had to drive slowly so as to not to get a puncture, so while it’s only about 6 km from downtown Castiglione D’Orcia, it can take a really long time.
Beautiful views, food was excellent, if you looking for a remote getaway then this is it.

GermanyThe place and the view is beautiful, the staff is very nice, the local wine, dinner and breakfast was all amazing. It's also located close to beautiful towns. The path there was rough, but we knew about it beforehand, so it was all fine. It was worth the ride.

LatviaThe road to the place was really challenging but from the other hand, we would never have seen those beautiful fields and views that we saw while going by car to this place.
It was a wonderful stay in a beautiful and quiet place. The rooms were very spacious, very comfortable beds, the views from the windows outstanding. Nice terraces outside. Very good breakfast. Hair and body care products were of a very good quality which I understand were produced locally. Everything was of the highest level and very well thought out.

FinlandWell, it does take 20 minutes by dirt road to reach the hotel. But this they tell you well in advance. The restaurant in the hotel was not open when we visited (in May during weekdays) but there are several restaurants at the closest village.
Beautiful location at the end of a dirt road, exactly as expected. The breakfast was phenomenal, best we had on our trip. Rooms are simple but stylish, and we really liked to bathroom and shower. If we ever go back to Toscana, this would definitely be a place I'd book again!

United States of AmericaUnfortunately, the wifi was down while we were there. It wasn't a problem for us, but it did mean that we had to pay in cash, instead of using a card. It may be worth checking with the hosts before you arrive.
An incredible location in Val D'orcia, with spectacular views of the surrounding wine country. The drive down the dirt road takes about 20-25 minutes and is completely worth it! Our hosts were so wonderful, the rooms were beautiful, and the food was delicious. The wine that they produce is also excellent!

CanadaVery nice and spacious place. The room was clean, comfortable and very warm (in December). The hosts - Elena and Andrea - are very friendly and accommodating. I would definitively recommend dining option. It is home cooked quality and delicious. The owners source their groceries locally, mostly organic. Special note for the wine, as the owner are winemakers, They grow same variety as used to make Brunello. We loved their Rosso. The breakfast is big, also organic. Delicious ricotta, fruits etc Additional note - getting to the farm is a 20 min drive on rural road. Cars with lower suspension may have a problem getting there.

Czech RepublicNo WiFi in the room, only downstairs in the restaurant
Beautiful location, if you drive slowly - cca 20 minutes, you can reach accommodation without any harm or problems with your car. Nice and cosy room. Delicious breakfast - the same as you can see on pictures in reviews. Delicious dinner - 3 courses and wine for 60 EUR - amazing experience, I strongly recommend to try dinner, at least once. Try their local wine. It was the best accommodation we had in Tuscany for this price.

The overall atmosphere at this place is breathtaking. Clean, stylish, simple yet there is everything you need. Plus the wine from the owner's vineyard was first-class.

Canada15 minutes rugged dirt road to get to the agriturismo who is very isolated!
Beautiful Agriturismo owned by an Italian couple whom understands and speaks English. Very aesthetically pleasing design, everything is in the details. For example, a painted aquarelle in the dining room reproduced on their bottled wine. The pictures do not do justice to the wonderful views you’ll have at sunset. I also recommend eating there at least one night, full meal for 30€ was delicious. Excellent stay!

Agriturismo Pian di Meta Vecchia is absolutely wonderful. 20 minutes down a gravel road, but so worth it for the incredibly beautiful, peaceful, idyllic surrounding. Elena and Andrea are lovely, the food is incredible, the rooms are tastefully decorated and the beds are extremely comfortable. Their wine is exquisite as well, we bought three bottles to take home. We can't wait to go back.

FranceThe access road is a quite long "strada bianca" so if you have a small car it's bumpy (but that's what you get when you want to stay in the countryside!)
We are very happy about our stay at Pian Di Meta Vecchia. The agriturismo is in a beautifully renovated farm. The interior design is nice with beautiful furniture, lighting and materials. Our bed was comfortable and we appreciated our bathroom as well. The food is homemade, with generous portions and very tasty (we had dinner and breakfast there). Our host gave us helpful advice for a small hike to the nearby Abbazia di Sant'Antimo.

BelgiumBeautiful location, absolutely worth the 20 minute drive on a dirt road. The building is renovated with eye for detail. The lady of the house is very welcoming and happy to tell about all the products they make at the farm (wine, liquors like noci, vegetables, ...). We highly recommend to have diner there, fresh, healthy and innovative cooking. Breakfast is sweet or savory and joy as well. Finally, the cats (Biba and Mima) make you feel right at home.

ItalyNothing. It was practically perfect in every way! However, early in the morning the water wasn’t very cold, but in the afternoon/evening it was, so, not a big deal.
This is a magic place where you truly can connect with nature. No TV, poor network coverage, no noise, no hustle and bustle, no stress. There are wild boars, deers, hares, stars, fresh air and at night you can even see the Milky Way. Believe me, this is one of the best places of the entire world. Not to mention the kindness of the hosts. They are such a welcoming and lovely people. Also, you can have dinner at the property, eating delicious seasonal produce and drinking some of the finest wines ever tasted.

IsraelUnfortunately, we have never felt so unwelcome at the accommodation. It is obvious that the owner of the place is tired of the hospitality job. We received disrespectful treatment that really ruined the vacation there.
The accommodation is in a magical location, which requires a rather long drive of about 20 minutes on a dirt road. The building itself is pleasant, the room is clean, beautiful and simple.
