Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The bathroom was a bit tiny and outdated, but it didn’t bother us.
The rock wall was so charming and the room very large and comfortable for the price.

Shower room is a little small.
Location was great. Very close to train station. Instructions for self check in was pretty straightforward! Very clean. A/C was cold!

Lack of kitchen. The communication with the "owner" was very poor. It was self-checkin, so no one showed us around or explained anything. Towels for one person were missing, so we just helped ourselves from the cupboard in the corridor. The payment wasn't easy with the link that was sent to us, it didn't work, We asked a couple of questions and never got an answer. When we left the apartment, we wrote to let the guy know and we got a "ok, thanks".
Great location to take the train to Cinque Terra, the station is just a couple of minutes away. The apartment is good for 1-2 nights, but pretty small to move around. The beds were comfortable. There's a small fridge and a basin.

I can write a lot about what I did not like. My first impression as I stood at the door and phoned the owner, was that the entrance looked dirty and trashy. The owner was not present and there was nobody to help me keep the heavy door own, whilst I lifted my heavy suitcase in. They talk about having certain things like a hair dryer and a dining table. Ok well they are lying. When I asked about the hair dryer, I received no reply. The place was clean, but I had to endure the sound of the washing machine running, endlessly, when I arrived. The need is positioned in such a way that you could sustain serious bruising every time you squeeze past the foot ends, to get to and from the minute bathroom. Bathroom is very small, sure they have a lifted toilet, not sure what the reason is, but I do knew that your small children will not fit on it. I also mention the small children because of the 3rd and 4th beds, which are upstairs on a very inadequate, wooden floor with a very strangely small, stair case. Not sure where the dining table is, but the place caters for 4 people, yet they are 3 seats, one of which is a broken down little old stool. Look, the place is OK, but I would be rating it a complete ZERO, if I had been with children. Fortunately I was in my own.
I cannot say what I liked, I did pick this place for the fact that it was fairly central, however, it could have been more central.

The socket is not very well, there is room for improvement in the sanitary condition, and the WiFi totally can not used at all.

The WI-FI was terribly slow. The check-in and check-out system was confusing and not intuitive . We were told that we can leave the luggage but when we came back the keys were not there as promised. We had to wait for a while before we can get the luggage. It was stressful as we had a scheduled train to catch.
The location was great. Walkable distance from the train station.

no kitchen, no microwave, bed frame edges are too sharp, I bumped twice and hurt my leg. the spacing inside is not well thought for free movement of people.
location is close to city center and inter city train station, lots of shops, groceries and restaurants

This apartment it's not comfortable at all. The beds and the bathroom were so uncomfortable. For 4 people for 3 nights we got just 2big towels and 1 to put on the floor, this is unacceptable, we would expect at least one towel per person.
The location is perfect, easy accessible, few steps from the train station and from a very nice bar where we had wonderful breakfasts.
