Room was dated, with uncomfortable bed and sad hairdryer. Generally, (other than a lovely cleaning lady) the staff was not very welcoming. Breakfast was good, but closed down at 10:00am to the minute, so felt a bit rushed in the mornings. We stayed for 11 nights in a suite and when we checked out no one asked if we had a good stay, nothing… not interested.

Excellent location, nice pool, great view (from lakeside rooms). Close to ferries, buses, shops, restaurants and train station.

Great location, right on the lakeshore in Stresa. Our room had a small balcony with a beautiful view of the lake and the Borromean Islands. The room was comfortable and of a decent size. The bathroom was modern and everything worked well. Breakfast was included and there were plenty of food choices. Service was nice. Having free parking and decent wifi was also nice.

Reception staff lacked smiles and friendliness when approached, a complete contrast with restaurant and room staff.

Wonderful position, great views from our balcony, underground parking. Dry clean, room serviced very well daily. Restaurant staff friendly and welcoming, obliging and helpful.

The worst part was the bed. The bed was very uncomfortable and both my husband and I had a hard time sleeping.

I loved the rooms, the location, and the breakfast area. The pool was spectacular and overall a wonderful experience.

The hotel is perfectly situated right on the lake front and within 5 minutes walk of the town centre which is full of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. Staff were professional and helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Parking well managed and free. Breakfast was amazing - everything you could possibly want and the waiters were dressed impeccably and were helpful and polite.

The pool was cold - at the end of August! Breakfast only average.

We have stayed before and hence knew what the hotel was like. Lovely room with 2 balconies and the spectacular views. Excellent changes to the pool area.

They photocopy the _bankcard_! Not the passport, but your bankcard! No hall door, so no door between the bed and the corridor door – it would be very useful to isolate the noises from the corridor, where there are very noisy doors. No tea making facility in the room.
