Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaIt was my fiancés birthday and I had mentioned the same to the staff prior to checking in and reminded them, have travelled quite a bit to say- in hospitality industry, the hotels are quick to make it special for their guests, all it takes is a small pastry or a bottle of wine. I requested the staff if something could be done, they messaged me that I can buy a bottle of wine for 17 euros or pastry for 35 euros- needless to say that I would have anyway done that and in fact did do. Not a big deal but let’s just say for a guest who is staying with you for 3 nights- you could make it a tad bit special with a small gesture!
Don’t think, just the book this beautiful property. It spells everything gorgeous- the views, the quality of the suite, the wine, the trail to the property - all of it and more makes it for an excellent place to stay! you can enjoy the experience more if you are driving to the place.

SingaporeThe ride up was bumpy and lanes were small. So it was intimidating the first time. Also, we had to plan to come back to the Castello everyday before 6.30pm sunset as the roads had no light and could be possibly dangerous.
The view was breathtaking and staff was friendly. We had dinner on one of our nights and the food was delicious! Only regret was that we did not manage to join the tours cos we did not make it to the Castello before 3.30pm.

Great little castle on a top of a hill with a wonderful view and the vineyards and valley below. The castle itself is property of a winemaker. 5 minutes drive from a bigger village Greve in Chianti. Very easy access from the main road, comfortable rooms and good services. We stayed in a room part of the annex to the castle. At the ground floor of the annex there is a living space with a self service bar where you can enjoy a coffee, a nice glass of wine or a soft drink (loved this area). The beds were comfortable and the room itself was nicely decorated. The restaurant serves very tasty food and great wines. Breakfast was good. The swimming pool was still closed due to winter season. On the last day before leaving we stopped at their wine shop. The person in charge of the shop was very nice with us and really knowledgeable about the wines and the production processes that the winemakers were using. Thanks again!

United States of AmericaThe ground of the property was beautiful with amazing view. Our room was spacious and had a nice view of the rolling hills. The staffs were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant was delicious (and better than another restaurant we tried in town). The wine tasting tour and lunch was educational and delicious at a great value. We loved our stay and wished it could have been longer.

SingaporeWiFi wasn't good in the room - hit and miss, but there was wi-fi in the garden area which was perfect. Everything else about the place was magnificent.
Perfect location and the apartment we stayed in was huge - separate bedroom, kitchen and dining room, and a separate hallway where the bathroom was located. Very traditional building - several hundred years old, with decoration and style in keeping with the overall design. Our room overlooked a courtyard on one side and hills on the other. Breakfast was excellent with some locally prepared dishes like apple pie, fruit tart, tortilla tart plus charcuterie. We also had dinner there one evening which was exceptional (Pasta with Wild Boar Rage and Porcini Risotto). One of the best stays we have ever had. We also did wine tasting and purchased several bottles to take home with us - the wine is excellent.

United States of AmericaIt was a bit harder to get around than anticipated. The pool could only be accessed by going outside and in through another gate. No big deal really, but if they could have a staircase from the hotel, it would be more convenient. Our room was also on the top floor so we had to walk up several flights of stairs to get there every time.
Beautiful area with lots of vineyards. Incredible views. I participated in a wine tour that included lunch which I would recommend. Beautiful pool. Very large rooms.

United States of AmericaUnfortunately our room was very hot because the air conditioner was not working properly. The room was pretty large and the air conditioner couldn’t pump out enough cool air, it was less than a whisper. We asked this to be addressed after a sleepless night, we were offered another room, too much to move at this point. Solution was a fan which made the room a bit cooler.
Absolutely lovely hotel, pool and property gorgeous. Dinner outside was beyond beautiful- we were given the best table.

United KingdomIt would have been an added bonus to have staff pop to the pool and take drinks orders - but that’s just being picky! There’s absolutely nothing more this place needs. It’s a getaway heaven!
Absolutely amazing! If you’re looking for a dreamy getaway, this is your place! The staff can’t do enough for you, the food was INCREDIBLE, and oh the wine… of course the wine! Our bedroom was bigger than most apartments! The whole place is spotlessly clean. The views instantly relax you and the pool is a beautiful place to relax and unwind.

AustraliaThe breakfast buffet is located inside in a stuffy dining room, and during our stay breakfast was not refilled regularly. Not enough staff for the number of guests. We carried our breakfast outside which was much better, though we had to walk back inside (aout 40m) to order coffee etc. The breakfast was average. To move between areas of the hotel required 3 different keys to open different locked gates, including 3 locked doors to get from the parking lot to the room. This got annoying if you had to go back to the room for something. There was an 'honesty bar' which included cocktails and wine, though no ice was available. The property is fairly remote so it's at least a 20 minute drive to any other nearby town.
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights as we had a friend's wedding near Certaldo. Very friendly and helpful staff. The main building (the castello) was beautiful. The reception and dining areas were within this building and the guest rooms were in another newer building nearby. The pool was breathtaking - the pictures on the website do not do it justice. Lots of families there during our stay, so it was noisy with kids playing which we hadn't expected. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was fine, nothing standout, but convenient when arriving late. The room was clean and quite spacious. Good water pressure.
